China Flanker Thread III (land based, exclude J-15)

I thought Chinese have upgraded the flanker so much with composite materials, structure redesign, new flight control etc... they are able to ditched the speed brake on the back to save the weight & internal space.
Not sure where you came to this idea!??
I don't understand your question. What do you think the air brake does?
Like Su35 in this landing video didn't use speed brake?
But the Su-35 is a different beast and structurally totally reworked with the air brake deleted. The Chinese Flankers however are all based on the original Su-27SK and so they retained it.
Which proved my point, Chinese Flankers not a totally reworked bird. SAC just full of BS with their propaganda.

I see, you weren't asking a question, but rather you were expressing an opinion in the form of a rhetorical question.

Allow me offer you some advice. Next time, get to the point and state it clearly in the very first post. Don't be cute. It'll save all of us a lot of time and screen real estate.

Well, not sure what's your intention here but where or when did SAC said, they "totally reworked" their Flanker family?

As such it seems you are rather too much biased and therefore blinded by whatever that you try to turn well-known facts into some sort of stupid bashing but the only one who's making stupid propaganda - and in fact turns himself into a fool - is you!

I guess not.
I thought people have become more clever and realized that
1: skin color is not an accurate representation of the materials usage of the entire fuselage
2. FCS and internal structure aren’t something one can visually see
3. Reworking the entire structure and ditching the airbrake is doable but not necessarily needed, nor is it inherently a good idea when the time, resources and possible production line changes are taken into consideration.

I guess not.
