I heard the guy who took the really good J-20 photos got 7-9 years, so probably something in that range for this guy too.

Just saw this as well, now we know this photo is 100% real and from the wording I have a sense that Wei won't be sentenced too long.

The news source is Chinese MSS, they must have already searched their past photos, their house and personal belongings and past communications to get into such conclusion. Otherwise the news would be "some suspect was arrested and under investigation".

There is also possibility that this is a completely irrelevant case.

Hopefully they decide the leak is relatively harmless and give the poor guy some slack... Given the location of CAC facility, for every brave netizens that is stupid enough to upload their photo there'd have been ten more actual foreign spy that had sent clearer pictures back home
