What makes you think that a military magazine in China would have the real performance specs of J36 at this early point in its development?
Don't you read the first line? "Key facts from the magazine scan"
I never claim it's true.
Just helping out the non-Chinese speaking reader
Ok, maybe "Key number from the magazine scan" is better

I suspect both the PL-15s and PL-17s would have to be staggered to fit in 4 and 6 total, respectively, if they can even fit that many, and not as depicted on the last page.

With the new folding fin PL-15s its very possible that J-36 with its slightly wider main bay, can fit up to 8 in there and potentially a few extra(4?) in two of the side bays in a staggered configuration.

Thanks for providing a translation, however it would be useful to flag it as "speculative non-official numbers from a magazine".

The key point is to convey to readers and others that the numbers and information is non-official and speculative, thus shouldn't be taken seriously.

not like missilier. missilier was suppose to loiter over the fleet and use the range of the AA missile to defend the fleet. If this aircraft is used as a fighter it seems designed to do this almost as a 1960 style strategic fadt penetration bomber armed with stand off weapon, but against air rather than ground targets.

One of US airforce generals believes that J-36 main role is meant for air superiority

Considering it's only been three months since the reveal, I have to say they are doing a much better job of setting the record straight compared to the J-20. Credit where it's due, I guess.

“Those sixth-generation aircraft, we believe, are for air superiority,” said General Kenneth Wilsbach, head of Air Combat Command, which manages the USAF’s fighter, reconnaissance and electronic warfare fleets.

I suspect the awkward triple engine arrangement is for development purposes only, the intended configuration for production aircraft would be more space efficient twin engine, using a new, larger, as yet unrevealed low bypass engine. Maybe the new engine will be share core component with a new very large high bypass turbofan that is likely being developed for the recently announced Comac 939 very large twin jet.
