The western politicians are all just cheap talk to deflect on their incompetence and get votes.

On the flip-side, It will just shows that they do not believe in their own LIES about "genocide, rape, forced labor, torture, detention camp and human rights violation, etc. etc. yada yada yada" if they cannot and do not fully execute their olympic boycott threat. It is all just cheap political and propagandist posturing.

Countries like SK Russia Canada that have held it in the last decade possibly. Canada could be replaced by the U.S.

@4Runner why would they do that? after being save from a crushing sanction and given a big boost on international front. And China had a good relationship with the gulf state, two can play the game if China wanted to?

There is no way that Iran is going to trust the US or the West. Iranians are far from being stupid. China Iranian deal is a long term deal, a sort of civilizational level deal.

Even if Iran takes the bait the message China wanted to send was clear - sanctioned by the US? Sign a deal with us and watch Americans trip over themselves trying to fix their relationship with you.

To be fair, the US was at it's height when the Petrodollar scheme was agreed upon. At the time, there was no way for the House of Saud to know how it would all end.

Yup. A day late, a dollar short. Iran have already stated many times that ALL sanctions must be lifted AND verified prior to even considering going back to the JCPOA. The idiots in DC don't realize the JCPOA deal is dead.

The moderates in Iran still hold considerable political power against their counterpart hardliners. However, if Iran renege on this deal then they've sealed their fate as no one would ever trust Tehran again, regardless of who's in power.

@Temstar It had become China calling card!!!! trouble in Ukraine Lavrov called Wang " can you arrange a meeting " and Wang answer "sure how about in Guilin" the next day EU called Putin lets talk hahaha China should get a cut...LOL
