You know, I still cannot get over what happened yesterday in Ottawa. The facts:

1. A non-binding vote was held in Canada's Parliament where it was 266-0 to declare genocide in Xinjiang.

2. The actual government of Canada who did not show up, abstained from the vote. The government sent a minister who publicly stated for the record that the Canada abstains for this vote.

Since the motion was non-binding, meaning no further actions are necessary, and with the government of Canada abstaining at the vote, clearly indicates that this political grandstanding over Xinjiang, is over. The Canadian government probably will not make this formal, the official position of the government of Canada.

What puzzles me is this. It is the times we live in. It is like a woke conspiracy everywhere. Black Lives Matters, white privilege and all that stuff.

Remember Bill and Hillary? Wild Bill was running around chasing women, and Hillary knew, but did not say much. The wife always knows. Later, in these woke times, although it was not Hillary's fault that Wild Bill had transgressions, Hillary was labelled an "enabler" of these transgressions.

Let's use that standard for that non-binding vote.

Canada's Parliament had an anti-China motion, that was passed 266-0 with the Canadian government abstaining. Since the Canadian government abstained, it was not against China, and in these woke days and times, that would mean the Canadian government is an "enabler" in Xinjiang.

NOW THAT IS POWER! That the Chinese Communist Party can have its influence reach through to the Canadian government right inside Parliament, the House of Commons in Ottawa.

:p

What really pisses me off is how blatantly bullshit all this is. Not a single Canadian MP had the balls to stand up to lies.

China is notorious for not carrying through with their "threats of retaliation" to other countries. Like I've said before how China thinks it takes the high road by not countering US moves immediately and waits a year to answer and by then people have forgotten so it looks like an irrational action by China. No one else sees what China thinks it's doing. China's blacklist means it'll have to follow through with as many people who are on the list. If China doesn't, the world will just see China blowing hot air again. A nice juicy fat target like Pompeo is terrific. It's meant for high profile targets not just anyone. Just like the people on the US's blacklist will most likely never really feel its affect, the same will be if China targets anyone who just act something bad against China and that's what the other side will always emphasize. I would love if China were in a position to blacklist anyone and it will follow and affect them for the rest of their lives. China's is not in that position. The US can't even do that.

@localizer , its funny , there is no Muslim country supporting such claim, and the one who is crying genocide are mostly Christian countries who supported and participate in invading Iraq and Afghanistan. that alone debunk their propaganda and question their motives....LOL.
Yet they call themselves Christians yet spread lies like this. Sooner or later God is going to really screw them up, that is if the reality that Canada’s going to suffer even more with that pussy Teddeau still doesn’t sink in whist destroying Canada’s image even more. I swear Canada is starting to become less and less relevant and more of an annoying nation that is one day going to get there’s.

Of course not. NDP should basically rename the party to SJW. Always finding the next cause to pander to. They also feature Jenny Kwan whose non-stop criticism of China seems like a desperate attempt prove honorary aryan status. Wouldn't be surprised if her Chinese name was actually Kwan Jingwei.

Then you have the Conservative party, headed by Erin O'Tool. As an appropriate name as ever for a politician since they are pretty much bags of hammers... They are the ones who pushed this meaningless vote to appear like they are taking a stand against evil CHINA. This guy faced a party revolt after keeping a guy who used racist slander against the Chief Medical Officer, then finally kicked him out after it was without a doubt proven he took money from White supremacists.

Meanwhile many First Nations in the country are still without access to clean water. No clean water, check... forced sterilization, check, schools to destroy their traditional culture... check. I guess when you are guilty of all the crimes you accuse someone of, you know when it's happening...

The Xinjiang genocide talks are strictly for domestic consumption. The allegations are unprovable by default and so outrageous that no one in China believes them. Xinjiang is not a black box like North Korea. Millions of tourists visit it every year and if China have done even 1/10th of the things they accused China of doing, legitimate evidence would have leaked out.

What really ticks me off is not how this relates to China to be honest. I feel like genocide is not something to be taken lightly. Nazis systematically killed 6 million Jewish people, the textbook definition of systematic, not just mass violence. Ottoman Turkey killed at least hundreds of thousands of Armenians. More recently there is what happened in Rwanda and Balkans. So if CCP is so awful, so vile, shouldn't you do more than just have a meaningless vote? You basically turn genocide into something meaningless. These politicians just making an excuse to blow hot air.

To "counter" that argument they like to specify "cultural genocide." In the end it's all blatant hypocrisy and gaslighting.
