China is fine, the mask shortage is resolved, everyone getting thermal scanned, people are scared shitless, it will now be hard for a phase 2 to start in China.

From now on it will be more like whack a mole than a war.

I am not too optimistic. Both Singapore and HK have very restricted rules but now they are at the cross road due to the return of expatriates and some foreigners.

An Italian medical expert says the coronavirus may have circulated in Italy before the outbreak in China. Giuseppe Remuzzi, director of a renowned medical research institute in Italy, spoke in an interview with U.S.'s National Public Radio. He mentioned some Italian doctors remember having seen very strange pneumonia in old people in December and even November. He said the virus could be circulating in parts of Italy before people were aware of the outbreak in China.

Do they have AI cameras to track all movements and people to check your temps everyday?

China is even more careful now with expats and foreigners I think.

Complete shutdown of any activity not related to food, medicine, and power necessary for sustaining human life. Similar to what happened at China during late January.
well the Reuters article I linked says "Conte did not specify which factories and businesses will be considered crucial to keep the country going. "
so I'm curious what those will be in Italy specifically

I think HK placed 14 day quarantine for all inbound passengers a few days ago. Not sure about Singapore.
Singapore bans all short-term visitors and require self-quarantine measures for 14 days on anyone entering Singapore. The problem is community spread within both HK and Singapore has become more frequent. Many new arrivals before the implementation of 14 days self-quarantine measures have tested positives and many of them are pretty active. Both places might need to implement more measures if the virus isn't contained in the next few days.

Thanks. I just noticed there has been significant increase of cases in Singapore. I also hear a significant number of new cases in Japan and Korea are coming from overseas, mostly Europe but including US, Australia, Egypt, Turkey.
