If junta wanted to have a good relationship with the West, it is perfectly fine with China. However, Chinese business and strategic interests can't be compromised. I doubt junta would be foolish enough to cross China but China does have many cards to play if it came down to that.
Myanmar would be a great addition to China. Looks more useful than Taiwan tbh.

That's a joke that the Myanmar military dictatorship wants closer relations with the US. Oh so China was behind the coup but the military behind the coup wants to side with the US to escape China? The could've done that without arresting Aung San Suu Kyi. It's obvious that the leadership wants the attention off themselves. They probably thought since Aung San Suu Kyi lost favor with the US, they could getaway away with removing her and the US would do nothing to them. They think China is a bigger target for the US so they hope that tempers Western anger against them.

Most east European former Russian republics are pretty racist, which also plays a huge part.
That's pretty much why most countries that hate China hate China for. Every non-Western country that hates China it's because they think what China has... they deserve it more. Look at India how for decades they've been whining how they're closer to the West so therefore they should get everything that China has as if the West gets to decide these things. Or look at Brazil. I read an article interviewing a big Brazilian farmer supporting Bolsonaro back when he was running for President. This big famer said Brazil should be where China is at today. Apparently that's why the right-wing in Brazil hate China. Not for anything China has done to Brazil. They all hate China out of envy. They think China didn't work hard for where it's at. They think the West gave it to China but do they blame the West that they worship as Gods? No, that would get the West angry at them if they did that so they blame the people who they think got what the West gave.

Reminds me of how Americans complain about terrorists hating Americans for their "freedom" or hating Chinese because they took their jobs.

It's actually all American fault why Arabs hate them and they can't compete with the world in manufacturing anymore

This sort of cooperation is sorely needed, China and russia should share intelligence how cia uses ngo, media, churches, universities to forment color revolutions and develop counter strategies together
@bajingan The Russia is using the Chinese experience to counter theirs, I read reports that the Russia will also follow the Chinese example and put an internet wall to screen intent.
