Just what is it with you Canadians that you hate us Chinese so much. So labelling China as genocides on uyghurs. Gee didn't they get the memo from Biden?

You gotta understand the white Liberal in Canada, older brother.

The most important point about a white Liberal, is that they must feel good about themselves, and do things that make them feel good about themselves, and do that virtual signalling (which I do not even know what that is) all in the name of feeling good about themselves.

The white Liberal feels every action they undertake is moral and just and everyone else understand and to do the same. They feel good when they can have their views front and center.

My personal feeling is that the Chinese Communist Party, really does understand Canadian politics and the white Liberal.

Since the white Liberal always wants to feel good about themselves, the Chinese Communist Party tries to forbid it, as in, strictly forbidden!

Once, the Canadian government complained about the two arrested Canadians in solitary confinement. The Chinese ambassador retorted that that reply showed "weakness and cowardice."

That was hilarious! The Chinese Communist Party was determined to be as abusive as possible, without having the ambassador kicked out of the country, in order to make life for the government of Canada as miserable as possible, because of the Meng Wanzhou arrest, for the sole purpose to show the white Liberal was unable to feel good about themselves.

I thought that was great!

So they now have to play this out in parliament, in order to feel good about themselves, by voting on this non-binding motion (non-binding means whatever the outcome of the vote, further actions may be taken but are not required by law or parliamentary rules).

Two words: who cares!

I am not even talking about China here about who cares! Who cares in Canada?

Change the channel to the hockey game already!

:D

Britain to challenge China at U.N. over access to Xinjiang
By Reuters Staff

LONDON (Reuters) - Britain will on Monday call for the United Nations to be given “urgent and unfettered” access to Xinjiang to investigate reports of abuses in the Chinese region.

British Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab will also mark Britain’s return to the U.N. Human Rights Council as a voting member by condemning the rights record of fellow council members China and Russia and will raise concerns about Myanmar and Belarus, his office said.

On China, Raab will refer to reports of abuses in Xinjiang, including torture, forced labour and forced sterilisation of women. “They are taking place on an industrial scale,” he will say, according to his office.

“The U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights, or another independent fact-finding expert, must – and I repeat must – be given urgent and unfettered access to Xinjiang,” he will say.

China has been widely condemned for setting up complexes in Xinjiang that Beijing describes as “vocational training centres” to stamp out extremism and give people new skills. China’s critics have called them concentration camps.

The United Nations has said at least 1 million Uighurs and other Muslims have been detained in Xinjiang.

Raab will also raise the “disgraceful” treatment of Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny, the crisis in Myanmar and the situation in Belarus. He will set out steps Britain has taken to address these issues, such as sanctions, and encourage others to follow.

Dudes still living in the past, back when UK can call up the CIA to coup Iran because BP wanted to get access to its oil.

They're in saving face mode. So you're going to see compliments and charges from different sides of the same government. Biden and Trudeau are going to have virtual meeting this week. I'm sure China will come up and let's see what happens after. Janet Yellin came out last week saying Trump's tariffs on China will not be repealed... for now. Like when Biden said he felt no need to talk Xi, the next day he talked to Xi, they don't want China taking action because they see dealing with the US has become useless and then China works openly against US interests. Some want to believe China has used up all its ammo. And around the same time China is talking stopping selling rare earths to the US. You better be sure despite how they talk about finding another rare earths source, they'll be up in arms if China stops selling to them and call for retaliation.

Just remembered something about China and Canada, and what the movers and shakers in Canada think about the Meng Wanzhou and the two Canadians arrested by China situation.

There were many voices in Canada, that said Canada should band together with its friends and together they could change China's behaviour, in the hopes of getting the two Canadians out of jail. That is a sound idea, as Canada by itself has no leverage.

The G7 meeting just came and went. Where was the statement on prisoners or hostages or diplomacy with China? There was no statement from the G7. Canada got nothing. The G7 is Canada's best and most powerful friends. No soup for you. At the end, the only thing Prime Minister Trudeau could say was they were "reflecting" on the best course of action still to deal with China.

Holy crap. It is this bad for Canada.

Then on Monday, a few days later, the Canadian parliament will vote on some motion about Xinjiang, in the latest political grandstanding attempt.

That the G7 will not help Canada on the situation of the two Canadians in a Chinese jail, is something we will NOT read in the news. All we read is this empty gesture of a vote in parliament.

Wonder how the Chinese ambassador will attack this!?

 :p

BBC to the rescue!

Just listening to the radio this morning, and the BBC host is pretty much leading the aviation expert they have on by the nose by actually coming out and saying this is an engine issue and have nothing to do with the plane.
So engine is not a part of airplanes? BBC host must be a paper plane expert.

MH370 was a Boeing 777 and remember the engines were British hence why they had the IMARSAT data. Maybe that's how the engine is separate from the aircraft for investigation purposes.
