Gamblers and young people who can't go to casinos or vacation decided to engage in stock trading with no transaction fee is entirely possible. Don't care much about the hedge funds losing money. But this won't end well. Short squeeze is a good strategy but greed would take over and they won't stop til got busted.

The problem is that Gamestop lost money in 2019 pre-pandemic.
And their situation is only getting worse.

Gamestop can't keep racking up losses every year without going bankrupt at some point.

Gamestop should take a page out of AMC's playbook and raise money from selling its stocks.
