Keeping f@cking around and eventually you will find the f@ck out, well that concept seems to really be at play here, they keep up with this racist attitude instead of valuing what they have, they lose yet another element that could help them in the long run. Really chasing away real talent (none of that rainbow bullcrap and managers that literally accomplish nothing) and giving them to your worse enemy is just the height of stupidity. No wonder why China is making strides in technology nowadays, the USA simply cannot help itself. Now if only they can be a good boy and quickly drop de@d and save us all the trouble of having to put up with any more childish lectures on human rights

There is a glass/bamboo ceiling in the US for Chinese, those who reached the ceiling will have better opportunity by returning to China, thus break the ceiling, those who has not touched the ceiling really doesn't matter where they are.
It is almost as if people with high position and PhD can obtain many alternative opportunity yet here we are bullying them with the race crap.

President Marcos came out forcefully with a statement regarding the apparent misconception and perception that his administration's policy is moving away from a strong relationship with the People's Republic of China. In his own words that can be heard and seen on this video clip, he categorically declare that PH relationship with China is vitally important to his country especially trade. While acknowledging that there's issues and complexities with the relationship (SCS disputed islands) the issues themselves are not or should not be used as an excuse not to proceed/continue with the relationship.

Marcos Jr. sure knows how to speak like a typical slick willy western/American politician. The dude knows how to double speak while appearing as honest.

If Marcos thinks he can say one thing and do another, he need only look at his Anglo American masters and how they beg China for a meeting, but to no avail. China simply ignores them and moves on with life. Marcos’ impassioned speech is akin to Meloni screaming at the Italian parliament to send weapons to Ukraine despite having campaigned for a nationalist Italian centred Stance.

Joint Declaration Against Trade-Related Economic Coercion and Non-Market Policies and Practices

The Governments of Australia, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States of America endorsed a Joint Declaration Against Trade-Related Economic Coercion and Non-Market Policies and Practices at a Ministerial meeting in Paris on 8 June 2023.

The Joint Declaration builds on the momentum of the G7 Leaders’ Statement on Economic Resilience and Economic Security on 20 May 2023.

The use of trade-related economic coercion and non-market-oriented policies and practices (“non-market policies and practices”) threatens and undermines the rules-based multilateral trading system and harms relations between countries. The purpose of this Declaration is to express our shared concern and affirm our commitment to enhance international cooperation in order to effectively deter and address trade-related economic coercion and non-market policies and practices.

2. Non-market policies and practices of concern include: industrial policies and practices that promote excess capacity; pervasive subsidization; discriminatory and anti-competitive activities of state owned or controlled enterprises; the arbitrary or unjustifiable application of regulations; forced technology transfer; state-sponsored theft of trade secrets; government interference with or direction of commercial decision-making; and insufficient regulatory and market transparency. Non-market policies and practices have also been used as tools for economic coercion.

6. We urge all governments to refrain from the use of trade-related economic coercion and non-market policies and practices and to support free and fair trade based on open, market-oriented policies and principles that promote a level playing field and non-discriminatory treatment in international trade relations, benefit all economies, and help secure shared prosperity for all.

7. We commit to work together, with all interested partners, to identify, prevent, deter, and address trade-related economic coercion and non-market policies and practices, including through multilateral institutions, such as the WTO. These efforts will include, where appropriate, cooperation in WTO committees and in disputes to challenge these practices. We also commit to the sharing of information, data and analysis concerning these policies and practices as well as exploring the development of new diplomatic and economic tools that support and reinforce the rules-based multilateral trading system in responding to these challenges.

They really dislike how the PRC runs her domestic economy with US and allied jargon like 'non market policies'. We should refrain from running our own economy. Hands off and follow our neoliberal dictates that we want to force upon you.
This is the modus operandi of the anglos, they shriek in pain as they strike you. Shameless Anglo leaders who omit the fact that it was they who started the trade war and were forced to rebrand from “decoupling“ to “derisking“ only when they discovered they were more dependent on China than initially though.

In a more brutal time, these leaders upon capture would have been blinded since they evidently have no use for eyes.
It is almost as if people with high position and PhD can obtain many alternative opportunity yet here we are bullying them with the race crap.
anecdotal story but I recently discovered, as a worker in the financial sector, that ethnic Anglo WASP American boys and girls are given choice 180k+ per annum jobs upon graduation that an Asian or Chinese student would need to do several years of study and masters degrees to attain. That’s the sort of feudal society that Anglo societies have become.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The United States and five of its allies on Friday condemned the use of trade practices that amount to economic coercion in a joint declaration that did not single out other countries but appeared to be aimed at China.

Australia, Britain, Canada, Japan, and New Zealand jointly released the statement with the United States, emphasizing that "trade-related economic coercion and non-market-oriented policies and practices" threatened the multi-lateral trading system and "harms relations between countries."

The statement comes after the Group of Seven leaders last month agreed to a new initiative to counter economic coercion and pledged action to ensure that any actors attempting to weaponize economic dependence would fail and face consequences.

The United States, Britain, Japan and Canada are also members of the G7.

The countries expressed concern about "pervasive subsidization," anti-competitive practices by state-owned enterprises, forced technology transfer, and government interference with corporate decision-making.

Washington has regularly raised such concerns about trade practices by Beijing, and an official from the office of the U.S. Trade Representative, who spoke to reporters about the joint declaration, cited China for imposing a ban on imports from Lithuania after Lithuania allowed Taiwan to open a de facto embassy.

China, which regards the democratically-ruled Taiwan as part of its territory, suspended imports of beef, dairy and beer from Lithuania last year.

In May, Beijing protested the G7's declarations, including on economic coercion, saying the U.S. was "pushing hard to weave an anti-China net in the Western world."

In their joint statement on Friday, the U.S. and its five allies also raised concerns about forced labor.

"We are also seriously concerned about the use of forced labour, including state-sponsored forced labour, in global supply chains. All forms of forced labour are gross abuses of human rights, as well as economic issues, and it is a moral imperative to end these practices," they said.

US Senate panel approves measure to strip China of 'developing' status

WASHINGTON, June 8 (Reuters) - Legislation to strip China of its status as a "developing nation" at some international organizations was passed by a U.S. Senate committee on Thursday, as members of the U.S. focus on competing with the Asian power.

The Senate Foreign Relations Committee approved the "Ending China's Developing Nation Status Act" without dissent. The bill would require the Secretary of State to pursue changing China's status as a developing nation in international organizations.

Proponents of the bill say that status can allow special privileges in some organizations or treaties. The committee's approval paves the way for the measure to be considered by the full Senate, although there was no immediate indication of when that might take place. A similar measure passed the House of Representatives in March by 415-0.

The desire for a hard line on China is one of the few truly bipartisan sentiments in the perennially divided U.S. Congress, and members of Congress have introduced dozens of bills seeking to address competition with China's communist government.

The Foreign Relations panel also approved the "Taiwan Protection and National Resilience Act," which would require reports from government agencies on U.S. options to prepare for and respond to a possible Chinese invasion of Taiwan. China views democratically governed Taiwan as its own territory and has increased military, political and economic pressure to assert those claims. Taiwan strongly objects to China’s sovereignty claims and says only the island’s people can decide their future.

Technically China is still developing as opposed to America’s stagnant/regressive non-developing status.

Not to mention say what you want about America, but the American legal system has very strong protections against workplace harassment. Its fair to say in America there are workplace bullies and micromanagers, but by and large these are negative connotations and supervisors even if they are shitheads try to limit their behavior just out of fear that they'll incure liability on their company if they go too far. China's protections in this regard is not as strong and in some companies, bullying and micromanagement is the norm.
Western Europeans are laughing at the American workplace culture. I work in an international company which has large work forces in both US and China. Once in the mid 2000s we had to lay off massive numbers. I had American employees visiting Europe, she told us that the laid-off people in US office were notified in public and asked to immediately remove their belonging from the office. We in Europe were absolutely shocked. Here everybody is called into a closed meeting room and informed of staying or leaving. It is totally up to the laid-off person to decide what to do next, he/she can either leave immediately and tell everyone, or choose to stay. Then the manager will inform everybody in a separate conference who is laid off.

Surprisingly (to you but not me) our Chinese office practiced in the same way as our European headquarter instead of US style. The company is European, but the Chinese branch did the respectful style instead of American style. The choice is by the poeple heart, not enforced by some legal system. So I won't be confident if I were you.
