Update: I checked and still none of the mainstream outlets like BBC, NYTimes, CNN has picked up the Marsha Blackburn tweet story. Tabloids everywhere are picking it up - which is another trend you'll find, that is news that look bad on the US will get withheld from A-list media while tabloids are more than happy to pick it up, twisting words along the way. So far the only major publications that picked it up are Fox News and The Independent, and which as expected headlined it with 'Chinese reporter calls a US senator a b*tch', instead of the prime provocation that started it all.
The NYTimes has mentioned before that it 'collaborates' with the CIA on foreign policy news, and we're all pretty clear there is major coordination with other Big Hitters like the BBC and CNN. This is an example of platform dominance. You control the platforms, you control what people see with their eyes and hear with their ears.
