When do Chinese children call their mothers, "Mummy?" Yeah when they make stuff up and forget they're suppose to be posing as Chinese and thinking like a British instead. Did this "family" pull this stunt because they were concerned with human rights or because they were being paid to do it?

Remember that British man raping a Chinese girl out in public in China. That's more why they don't want surveillance cameras on the streets of China.

They're trying to "humanize" the "dissident" to push the narrative. We're subhumans when we don't fit their fantasies.

It's like how Guo Wengui was a "brave dissident" when they want it but becomes a "Chinese billionaire" in a split second.

In reality, like you said, they just want privacy and purchasing power to sustain their pedophilia. Glad CCP didn't allow China to end up like Thailand.

Kudos to Baroness Sugg.

"A promised is a promised".

After Great Britain chancellor decided to find £16 billion in budget to enhance Britain's ability to fight (as announced in UK military thread) in some imaginary future wars, rather then continues its promised to the UN. So I won't hold my breath in any of Britain's promises like Hong cough. Kong.

Foreign office minister Baroness Sugg resigns after aid budget slashed by £5bn in spending review
Overseas development funding was cut from 0.7 per cent of national income to 0.5 per cent
Baroness Sugg, whose brief included sustainable development, said promises should be kept in the tough times as well as the good.

A Foreign Office minister has resigned in protest at the Government's decision to cut the overseas aid budget, saying such a move is "fundamentally wrong".
Baroness Sugg, whose brief included sustainable development, said promises should be kept in the "tough times as well as the good".

Another hatchet job from the UK government mouthpiece. This is propaganda at it's purest, trying to disguise as journalism. But in fact the underlying message here is trying to say China is a police state with authority looking over your shoulders at every street corner. Etc.

BUT. How come we don't get the same BBC doing the same in the UK? I remember reading somewhere in the past 18 months that in fact, the UK has the most CCTV cameras per capita in the world! So much for big brother China they trying to paint. Talk about kettle and pot!

The UK is a sinking ship right now with idiots in leadership and a Brexit that is going to do so much damage and a pandemic that simply won't go away because Boris Johnson is an idiot. A fate well deserved for everything they have done to China, now all they need is for the UK to lose the United part and then the UK will lose all hope of being an empire ever again

It didn't always have to be this way; the UK was usually the more China friendly one out of the Anglo FVEYs; just too bad shit leaders and shit choices and a commitment to white anglo supremacy forced them to turn down this path.
Still, history is history and even shit leaders go against common sense for irrational reasons.
Look at the other Anglo of the south, Australia for eg.

Whatever “friendliness” was more likely due to guilt.

Doesn’t matter, the long await dark winter is about to hit the USA, uk and Canada with full force due to how badly they have handled there economy and pandemic and Australia and New Zealand can simply watch as there shining hopes get turn into ash. Then there governments can settle there problems out on there own and given that there leaders are the cause of most of these problems, they either will sort the problems out or get taken out by, like I am going to watch Scomo get destroyed since I utterly detest him. Australia with there western allies is nothing and they will eventually fold. It’s just a matter of time.
