It is either. China just doesn't give a damn about policing such sanctions imposing by the US. Again, it is a US sanction not a UN sanction.
“Apparent violations by Chinese companies raise the question of whether China is intentionally trying to test the limits of America’s policy, or whether Beijing simply lacks the capacity to police Chinese firms across a range of industries,” said Stokes, a senior fellow focused on US-China relations at the Center for a New American Security.

Who fucking cares? US would sanction China if it could. It doesn't matter what China does or doesn't do.
They also zeroed in on China, with Senator Robert Menendez, a New Jersey Democrat, citing what he said was evidence that Chinese companies have been exporting dual-use technologies “that Russia needs to continue its onslaught of Ukraine.”

“It seems to me that we should not forsake the potential of sanctions against China if it is providing critical assistance, and it shouldn’t be able to hide behind some companies,” he told Undersecretary of State Victoria Nuland.

China relationship with Russia is none of the US business. These lunatics think they can both sanction China, incite tensions in Taiwan Strait and ask China to not have good relationship with Russia. More importantly, relationship between the US and China is as bad as it can be. And China standing in the world is great except with the imperial West and its allies.
Nuland said that even before the invasion, the administration has had intense conversations with China “with regard to their relationship with Russia.” President Xi Jinping has avoided criticizing Russia over the war but has also offered to play a role in peace talks and come out against the use of nuclear weapons in the conflict.

“We’ve made clear that we will bring to their attention when we see sanctions violations by their companies,” Nuland said. “And we’ve been very clear with regard to the impact on our relationship and their standing in the world.”

Is she totally wrong tho? Behavior of white countries kinda supports everything she said, especially the part about manipulation.
It doesn't matter if she made a few valid points when her foundation is wrong. It is a yes/no matter.

Calling a people (white in this case) evil is racism. The past slavery in US is the fault of a system and should be treated as such. She is acting in black racism against white racism, both are the worst of human quality.

Chinese (if you are) shouldn't stand on her side just because the western regime's fault. Haven't we heard many racially related assaults on Asians in US by Afro-Americans or Hispanic Americans, no less than Whites? I certainly believe her kind of talk would contribute.

"Wrong on Wrong" is in fact more damaging to the "wronged".

Interesting story. A woman leaves Hong Kong to live in London. Within a year she realises her mistake and kills herself. The article describes her as being intelligent, but living your homeland to live in a squalor bedsit in third world London doesn't sound like a decision an intelligent person would make.

Is this the Hong Kong version of Paris syndrome?

Somehow given the current situation in the UK., I doubt she will be the last to do such a thing, especially when the economy is in free fall. Does anyone find if peculiar that out of all the nations in the world that the USA and UK literally share not only the same issues but also adamant in facing China and Russia at the same time without any sort of recourse or any consideration for the citizens whatsoever. I am quite convinced that both nations are trying to depopulate their countries given how everything seems to be going quite poorly for both nations in almost every single sector. Also both leaders are far from the best and capable as one can possibly imagine

PARIS – Carlos Ghosn says it was French President Emmanuel Macron who set in motion the train of events that led to his downfall. The former CEO of Renault SA and Nissan Motor Co. pointed the finger at Macron, blaming the French leader for angering executives and officials in Japan by trying to lock Nissan into its alliance with Renault two years ago.

While the president was never named, it was clear that was who Ghosn was alluding to when he hinted that the government asked him to push through a full merger of the two automakers against his will.

Ukrainian already lacked the skill to do basic infrastructure even before the war. so easy to observe they have degenerated alot from post Soviet times.

Accident, likely bad sea state + handling.

South Korean and Japanese coastguards rescued at least 14 of the 22 crew members from a cargo ship that capsized on January 25, 2023, off southwestern Japan. The crew on board the Hong Kong-flagged Jin Tian comprised 14 Chinese nationals and eight people from Myanmar. The cargo ship was travelling from Malaysia’s Port Klang and was expected to reach the South Korean port of Incheon on January 25. There was no immediate word on what caused the vessel, which was carrying timber, to capsize. The ship sank in an area between Nagasaki and South Korea's Jeju Island, where hundreds of flights were cancelled on January 24 because of harsh weather. Video source: AP
