Russia's most advanced fighter jet crashes, pilot survives

MOSCOW (AP) -- Russian officials say a top-of-the-line fighter jet has crashed on a training mission but that its pilot bailed out safely.

Russia's United Aircraft Corporation said in a statement Tuesday that the Su-57 fighter came down during a training flight near Komsomolsk-on-Amur in the country's far east. It said the plane's pilot safely ejected and there was no damage on the ground.

Where are all the China and Huawei haters at when Meng Wanzhou got illegally arrested in Canada by the influence of the US demand? How come not the same disgust for alleged guilty Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn who ESCAPED from Japan justice system from those bias Western media? Extradition any one?o_O

Carlos Ghosn's escape from Japan is a nightmare for the country's justice system — and the ousted Nissan exec may now be looking to put that system on trial

On Monday, former Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Chairman Carlos Ghosn escaped from Japan, where he had been in legal limbo, released from jail but awaiting trial on allegations of financial malfeasance and unable to travel.

Various reports suggested that Ghosn had fled Japan through Turkey. His destination was Lebanon, where he lived as a child, has citizenship, and is a business celebrity.

"I am now in Lebanon and will no longer be held hostage by a rigged Japanese justice system where guilt is presumed, discrimination is rampant, and basic human rights are denied, in flagrant disregard of Japan's legal obligations under international law and treaties it is bound to uphold," Ghosn said in a statement.

"I have not fled justice — I have escaped injustice and political persecution. I can now finally communicate freely with the media, and look forward to starting next week."

I can't agree more on these media's bias in putting the attention on certain cases and ignoring others.

The case of Meng is so unbelievable. She basically got arrested for giving a business presentation to a bank. This must be a first in the history of humanity.

I thought,in simple terms, the US is claiming that she misrepresented Huawei's dealings with Iran?

And where is the evidence for that? I doubt the presentation was anything about the countries the company was/was not dealing with.

It goes like this:

Ms Meng gave a presentation in Hong Kong (Chinese territory), to a banker from HSBC (a Hong Kong/London based bank).

The presentation included a description of Huawei's relationship to a partner company, Skycom.

US prosecutor claimed that she "misrepresented" the relationship in this presentation.

The company in question, Skycom, was accused with the hideous crime of having "offered" to sell 1.3mil worth of HP server equipment to Iran telecom in 2012, the sale didn't even go through.

Still, no US entity was involved in any part of this "incriminating" meeting, so WTF?

Well, here comes the US logic....

HSBC has US branches >> HSBC "may" process US-dollar transactions through the US >> Huawei used HSBC to transact US dollars >> HSBC is "at risk" of getting punished by US authorities (but it didn't happen) as they provide service to Huawei >> Ms Meng "misrepresented" things to "trick" HSBC into providing service == Voila! A non-US client situated in non-US territory with non-US money in a non-US bank just committed BANK FRAUD IN THE USA.

What a splendid demonstration of US hegemonism.

It's beyond belief how long there are holding someone without trial, who never committed a crime in the country that accused her of the crime!

And yet, we don't hear a peep from the MSM, or the law and order brigade on this forum. If we turn this on its head, and said, the accused was American, and the country was China. The MSM and their supporters would be shouting loud and clear, as another example of big bad authoritarian China!

And why does that claiming has any legitimacy or legality on a Chinese national's conduct in a Chinese territory (Hong Kong)? What about China arresting Ivanka when she transit Hong Kong airport?
