The heart of the problem lies in the aircraft's radar altimeter uses frequencies close to C-band. 5G towers also use C-band radio spectrum frequencies that can disrupt altimeters, an important device that measures the aircraft's height above ground.

5G services use C-band radio spectrum frequencies between 3.7 and 4.2 GHz that may prove hazardous to flight safety.

So what's being used in China

The problematic 5G frequency in the US is C-band which is very close to the frequency that radar altimeter operates. Other countries do not use C-band in their 5G.

It is a system fault of the government. FAA and FCC did not coordinate well. FCC should take more blame for the problem. FCC knows well ahead of the potential interference. FCC should have forbidden usage of C-band around airport runways in their auction of the frequency.
I was recently on an air france airbus flight in Europe, the destination airport was foggy so the pilots had to make a CATIII autoland, basically the ILS system down to the runway. The captain kept saying how we had to power down (instead of just airplane mode) all electronic devices because he had to "use the automatic landing" .... and was afraid of interferrence. Cant believe these pilots are so dumb and believe in this crap. ILS has existed since 1960s

From the German world values survey, Chinese culture is closest to other East/Southeast Asian, then Russian/Eastern Europe.

WASPs are far away.

This is pretty reasonable. You could see the interconnect between various Eurasian cultures. We are from the same continental landmass afterall. Not sure want type of cranial hemorrhage Martin Luther gave to the Protestant and English-speaking cultures though to have them so far out.

@Bellum_Romanum

Yes. But the underlying issue is that the US military refused to release the mid-band frequencies (3.4-3.7 MHz) that everyone else in the world decided was best for mid-band.

China mid-band is 3.4-3.6 GHz and 4.8-4.9 GHz
Europe mid-band is 3.4-3.8 GHz

I hate it when they do not name their obvious target directly (because there are a lot of people who do not notice) and are speaking indirectly.
so its probably due to Germany. It always hides. and no one knows to whom its against.
I think Germany feel threatened by Koreans. Koreans have practically replaced Germany in CIS countries in manufacturing and investments. time will come when Russia will stop any exports that can be used in German factories.
see Hyundai plant in Kazakhstan. the only way plant will be built at that place when it has assurance of parts supply chain.
