Brazil and Mexico situation is really bad currently especially Mexico which I believe the US will be forced to intervene military and fight the cartels who have compromised the government.

The cartels now openly control swamps of areas inside Mexico where the government has no jurisdiction and I was surprised last time I was there how powerful the cartels have become.

I think Brazil is managable all tho it has alot of gang problems in the favala's but it is managable compared to Mexico the situation is outside of the government hands these drug dealers have grown to powerful because they are feeding the US with drugs? And you know the US has appitite for drugs like nobody else and it could be almost the second biggest industry after the oil industry and feeding a country like the size of the US that is drug hungry you will gain alot of cash and enough to build your own conventional armies and hack I would even say the cartels could make room for a defense budget larger then Mexico itself if they want
This is the biggest problem with the US system. Why on the face of earth would they want to keep their southern neighbors poor and weak??? Yes it is true that if your neighbors are too strong they can be a threat to you> But if you just keep on weakening them, they would only be a huge liability.

No effort to develop them, solve the imbalance.

Spoiler alert, EU won't do anything for Lithuania

"Here is what I hear from European national security officials:

If Germany and France will not stand up for Lithuania and will now really tell China to stop blackmailing this EU member state, then:

1) DE + FR will not be trusted as real allies

2) EU China policy will be a joke"

This is American arrogance at their finest, lol.
It is you Americans who needs Germany and France on your anti-China bandwagon, not the other way around. You don't want to trust them as allies? then don't.

And yet some people still doubt whether we are heading towards a second Cold War. The rift between the US (and its vassals) and China will continue to widen during this decade.
Nah. Cold War is NOT the same as an anti-China or anti-communist front. Things like an "anti-communist front" existed before the Cold War (the Anti-Comintern Pact). Cold War only works in the post-WWII world. Because The USSR and Warsaw Pact not only occupies a huge chunk of Eurasian landmass (thus dividing the industrialized world into two blocks), it is also mutual exclusive from NATO and the so-called "Free World". The Cold War started with two huge blocks already coming into existence, with both side equally willing to shut each other out their own sphere of influence. This is NOT how the world looks like today, and it will pretty much never be.

Today's world is more like the US is trying every hard to form an "Axis" based on an "Anti-Communist(China)-Pact", making little real progress.

I am sure this is just a coincidence..
Rumors are flying everywhere that Turkey is going to re-enter the F-35 program

That's why I have been calling Turkey a snake for so long. And as always, snakes should be hunted on a "shoot-on-sight" basis
No! Precisely the opposite! This is the best sign for China.

Because right now, China is becoming such a trigger for the USA that any country who wants to get a concession from the US will just need to step closer to China to get that. This actually greatly increases China's presence and weight on the world stage, and China doesn't even need to put in anything to get this result.

This is a huge win for China. And all China needs to do is to welcome them with open arms. China doesn't even need to really give Turkey anything. They don't even need to sign a deal. They just need to meet and hold hands.

U.S. prosecutors recommend dropping case against MIT professor over China ties -source

Prosecutors have recommended that the U.S. Justice Department drop charges against a Massachusetts Institute of Technology professor accused of concealing his ties to China when seeking federal grant money, a person familiar with the matter said Friday.

Federal prosecutors in Boston decided to seek dismissal of the case against Chinese-born mechanical engineer and nanotechnologist Gang Chen. It was the latest setback for a crackdown on Chinese influence within U.S. research.

Boston prosecutors recommended the case's dismissal in recent weeks based on new information, the person said, adding the Justice Department has not made a final decision.

He was accused of failing to disclose, among other things, that he served as an "overseas expert" to the Chinese government and sat on the advisory board of Shenzhen's Southern University of Science and Technology, or SUSTech, when applying for a U.S. Department of Energy grant.

But Brian Kelly, a lawyer for Chen at Nixon Peabody, has said last week that "nothing significant was omitted on his application and several of the government's allegations were simply wrong."

rallied around Chen, saying the case against him vilified normal research activities.

Kelly and co-counsel Rob Fisher had no comment on Friday. MIT declined to comment. Wyn Hornbuckle, a Justice Department spokesperson, had no comment on Chen's case.

The Wall Street Journal first reported the recommendation.

Chen was charged in January 2021 as part of the department's "China Initiative," launched during former President Donald Trump's administration to counter suspected Chinese economic espionage and research theft.

Targets included university researchers. A Harvard professor, Charles

the initiative chilled academic research and targeted Chinese researchers through racial profiling. And despite the Harvard win, several other cases have faltered.

A Tennessee professor was acquitted by a judge last year following a mistrial, and prosecutors dropped charges against six other researchers.

President Joe Biden's administration has continued the initiative, though Hornbuckle said the Justice Department is reviewing its approach, a review that should be completed in the coming weeks.

Rachael Rollins, newly appointed U.S. attorney in Massachusetts, during a meeting with reporters on Thursday would not address whether prosecutors should stop bringing China Initiative cases.

But she said "the government will always look to see whether we can prove our case at various points."

Recruiting overseas talent is good when the perpetrators are the US and their stooges. When China does the same the it's theft and time for racial based lawfare a la 'China Initiative' strengthened by outlets like Reuters and WSJ who chill for the US as stenographers so ignore the tone.

The world towards China is full of malice and danger. Even in countries that do not have a conflict of interest with China, many of their people hate China and are willing to hurt the Chinese if they get a chance because they trust the propaganda from the West. The lie repeated thousands of times also becomes the truth

Yan Xuetong did not try to persuade Westerners to stop thinking "China is evil". But he tries to convince people to think "Gen Z is evil"

Its not all the west that is evil. America though is objectively a more evil country than even Nazi Germany. If you think the holocaust was bad against the Jews, it absolutely paled compared to what happened to the native Americans. You likely have at least one jewish friend or acquaintance if you live in north america, but the chances are much slimmer you would encounter any native american just walking down the street of mainstream USA. Welcome to GENOCIDAL NAZI EXTERMINATION COMPLETED.
