They already had a mini-coup some years back which gave the opportunity to Erdogan to purge the military and bureaucracy from some "courageous" and disloyal people

IMO I may sound like a conspiracy theorist but that coup was so badly organised and with such a bad execution, that I am with the mind that Erdogan had it planned from the start
@Overbom Bro my view never allow the Air force to lead a coup....lol, we had a lot of experience here in the Philippine during Cory Aquino administration all failed because they lack popular support, both civilian and the common soldiers. The most fervent coup supporters are from the Navy and Air Forces (mainly officers) and they lacked the manpower to hold the ground and its comical once they launch the attack they can't land their planes cause the gov't forces had capture the airbase. Only in 1989 where they able to recruit a Marine battalion together with 3 Ranger company and able to hold Makati hostage.

I think there's quite a big possibility of the mini-coup some years back in Turkey being orchestrated by Erdogan (especially when you dig into the details).

The more I hear about West's whining about China's magnesium, the bigger my smile

EU officials have been in touch with their Chinese counterparts. They have received vague promises that the disruption will be short-lived, but no firm guarantees.
European officials fear that China will direct its dwindling output to its own industry, cutting off exports completely.
Haha thats what I said it would happen. The EU bureaucrats initially thought that China was stupid and it would hurts its own industry for the EU, which would either way eventually decouple with it lol

There has been much talk in Europe and America of ‘strategic autonomy’,
Well guess what, "talk sht, get hit"

Wasn't the coup linked to a exile-cleric living in the US?
I believe so yes, or something like that (western puppet living in US).

Think Erdogan then used the 'opportunity' to remove opposition and the likes (and appeal to nationalism and how foreign countries are interfering etc.)

so coup was not orchestrated by Edrogan. He just took full advantage of it to clamp down on opposition,
It COULD have been orchestrated by Erdogan so he could take advantage of it (removing opposition, fueling nationalism etc.)

Again, when looking into the various details of the coup it seems quite 'suspicious' or maybe the ones doing it was just that super incompetent.

Now its only a matter of time when the west will end up decoupling from life knowing that the very things that used to be in there grasp is no longer there. Europe is in a situation where if they want to keep the life they once hard, they had better treat Russia and China with a lot more respect. The USA on the other had is a lost cause with no nation on the planet, heck even their allies would want to solve the shit show that is the USA with all of there issues have gone unsolved for so long, that nobody alive in the USA can possibility solve the problem unless trillions of dollar for the rich is involved and that does basically nothing.

Japan on brink of granting Australian troops immunity from death penalty

"Decision would remove sticking point in talks for a defence cooperation deal, but be controversial given resentment over a similar agreement for US troopsTokyo’s Status of Forces Agreement with the American military is a source of tension as many see it as giving too much leeway to troops accused of serious crimes including rape."

What in the world is wrong with Japan? Have they become so meek and weak when it comes to the Anglo-Saxon countries that even Australia can coerce them to submission. Have they lost all their self-respect and manhood?
