We have to be careful not to mix up racism and jealousy, greed etc.

The biggest lie the West has created to keep the people divided is that racism is some kind of unique aberration of human psyche, separate from other "normal" negative feelings.

In reality, racism is just tribal mentality projected onto skin color. In other parts of the world, this division can be based on religion, ethnicity (not always visible), social class, political beliefs, or simply place of origin (like in HK).

Underneath all of these divisions are always the same common causes: inequality, jealousy, greed, insecurity, ignorance, fear.

By putting racism on some kind of pedestal, as some kind of "root of evil", the ruling elites distract the people from the real problems of society.

Here is further tidbit on Joe Biden and Xi phone call look like they didn't get anything out of Xi. Let see in the coming days if they dial back on aggressive rhetoric against China and follow up with real deed

, written by a columnist who used the pen name “Yuyuan Tantian,” was published by CCTV. The Weibo account of “Yuyuan Tantian,” set up in March 2019, has released many exclusive news items and pictures related to previous US-China closed-door meetings. According to the self-description, “Yuyuan Tantian” is a woman, an “experienced political and economic news reporter” who has a PhD in Economics. CCTV has recently admitted that the account belongs to them.

“Yuyuan Tantian” said China would remain undecided about whether the United States really wanted to cooperate or had some other thoughts. She said Biden had in early this year showed his sincerity to China but it was not matched with his actions.

Citing the comments of Wu Xinbo, a professor and director at the Center for American Studies of Fudan University, the columnist said the US had made a major strategic misjudgment against China as it regarded China as its main strategic competitor and felt that China was trying to weaken the leadership position of the US and dominate the international order. She accused the US of having imposed new sanctions against China over Hong Kong issues shortly before the Alaska meeting on March 18.

She said that during a meeting with US Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman in Tianjin on July 26, Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi proposed “three bottom lines and two lists” about China-US relations, urging the US to follow in order to prevent the bilateral ties from further deteriorating.

According to the

, the US must not challenge, slander or even attempt to subvert the path and system of “socialism with Chinese characteristics.” It must not attempt to obstruct or interrupt China’s development process or infringe upon the country’s state sovereignty or territorial integrity. That demand refers to issues surrounding Xinjiang, Tibet, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

refer to China’s urging that the US end all its sanctions against Chinese officials and their families, remove visa bans affectimng Chinese students and stop the anti-China sentiment in the US.

Wu said that since the US faced setbacks in Afghanistan, was recording high numbers of covid-19 infections and had been hit by tropical storm Ida, Biden’s popularity had declined to the lowest level this year. Wu said China was now on the higher ground while the US had changed its tone “from arrogance to humility” and had become more pragmatic.

He added that China would continue its effort on climate change matters but only for fulfilling the Paris Agreement, not the orders from the US.

“Yuyuan Tantian” said if the US treated

as an “oasis” of the China-US relations but treated all other topics as “deserts,” such an oasis would become desertified one day. She said US-China cooperation on climate change could not be singled out from all other matters related to the relations of the two countries.

She said Biden’s request for a call with Xi had released a sign that the US wanted to take the initiative to communicate and cooperate with China. Besides, she said it was worth noting that Secretary of the Treasury Janet Yellen was reportedly considering visiting China within months.

She concluded that China had already given an answer to “the question of the century” and would wait to see how the US would answer. She said if the US really wanted to cooperate, it had to “throw off its airs” and open a dialogue with China.
The 90-minute phone call between United States President Joe Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping on September 10 was described asfrank and familiar” by media on both sides but no agreement was made during the dialogue.

Once again proves the meaning of Chinese diplomatic vocabulary that I mentioned few days ago. When there is a frank talk, there is nothing agreeable.

坦率交谈——分歧很大,无法沟通;
Frank conversation - Lots of differences, impossible to agree on any of them.

What we can get from the talk is that, Biden is eagerly to paint a image that he is doing something useful, that whatever comes out later is his win/achievement regardless that outcome is a lose/win/nothing. It is all a stage show just like Trump did. Remember what Trump did? Firstly, he destroy the relationship, got retaliated, then make a deal to partially recover the lose, then claim a gain. That kind of gain is in fact "how much less I loose than my opponent". It is a lose painted as a gain.

It seems that every couple of months we have news about how a new global program to compete against BRI is created

Development is the new ideology for the CCP when dealing with the world.

It is not about being a rightist or being a leftist, it is about development.

Regardless of what kind of government a nation has, right or left, there is a development question, what stage they are at.

China is willing to participate in that nation's development regardless of the government official ideological beliefs, and the stage where development is at China will assist in trying to push it further.

This type of "development ideology" probably has worked far better than the CCP expected. The BRI is over 2000-2400 projects, close to 2 trillion or more invested.

The west believes in the End of History, and is still trying to export its values. That is the west ideology, their values.

China exports development.

The west exports Western values and soft power (so they claim).

Let's get real. The west will get their asses owned if this is being exported in the ideology realm.

It could not even work in Afghanistan.

:D

- Forced labor allegations though I should give it they didn't mention China directly.
- Wuhan lab conspiracy
- Indo-pacific
- Chips initiative
- rivaling BRI

How China should respond
- If Xinjiang goods are barred from entering the EU, China should answer with tariffs or similar economic instruments. China cannot stay silent on this one as not responding may even be interpreted as accepting the allegations.
- Answering verbally should be enough. This is a conspiracy at most.
- China should answer as it does to the USA. The EU ships should be escorted in the SCS if they start FONOPS. Otherwise, verbal answers are enough.
- I think this is good for China. The US quasi-monopoly on semiconductors must be broken. The EU push would only aid that.
- Rivaling the BRI is a pipe dream. Even small projects take years here in Europe. I wish Europe could rival it. It would be great for developing countries.

This is what nagging me the most. EU and especially US are in kind of infrastructure deficits without clear program to deal with them. Now they want to play BRI?

China has both means and reasons to start a project like the BRI. It has a lot of workers, engineers and companies who are very experienced in infrastructure projects. It produces 50% of the world's steel and 60% of concrete. China has the world's largest banks that can finance such projects. It has a stable government that isn't trying to conduct cultural imperialism in 2021. Europe or the US has none of these. When a country signs up for a BRI project, the Chinese government can bring heavy machinery, workers, engineers, design, concrete and steel from China to the country, and can finance all of this by using the Chinese state banks. Thanks to this, the country gets modern infrastructure rapidly and for an extremely cheap price. For a poor country the BRI is the fastest way to build infrastructure as you can literally get the Chinese government to build it if you want. There are no ways Europeans can rival this. The cost of infrastructure in both regions is much different and they don't even have that excess capacity China has.

So Australia has officially become a US puppet? Finally the US has publically said what we have all known for so long here in this forum

“This is a fundamental decision – it binds decisively Australia to the United States and Great Britain for generations,” a senior Biden administration official said in a briefing call.
“It is the biggest strategic step Australia has taken in generations.”
And finally Australia is showing its true colours to the world. Good to know. Enjoy your puppet status
