Now that the DPP authority has gone completely hostile toward the mainland and is willing to play a role as a pawn of the US in strategically containing the Chinese mainland, it is time for us to take back the favor we granted to the island in the past and prepare to exercise the sovereignty of sending fighter jets to patrol the Taiwan island.

Pawns it is then.

Your family is ok. Why would anyone want your family to be punished? Bizarre. If you saw anyone saying this, please report his post. If not, then thats you projecting

What are you rumbling about? China especially, has been very forgiving of its past foreign invaders. Do you see China asking war-reparations from Western Invaders? If it did then that would easily go maybe 3-digits trillion of dollars.

"So your response to me was a misread of my lines intended for Japan & Diaoyu Islands."

I think he has an issue with deep seated bias. None of us ever mentioned about punishing his family or making the West pay for their past deeds done to China. That's twice now he mentioned this. The other in the UK miĺitary thread when he accused me of attacking him. I think careful reading is required here.

You lot talk as if us Anglos don’t want fairness or justice in the world, you think we are really monsters constantly scheming how to keep you down.

You really think we, who are just normal citizens, don’t want common prosperity and universal security? I would LOVE it.

You think it’s the people of the west’s fault, you act as if it’s us directly responsible and you treat everyone s a co-conspirators. You want the west to get fucked and me and my family to be punished? To feel the pain on your ancestors?

Is that what you want?
We want nothing but to compete on equal footing nothing more, nothing less. But such wishful thinking will remain exactly just that, wishful thinking. Because as history is our guide your leader - the U.S. - despite it's flowery rhetoric and theories on human rights, universal values and all that sweet sounding words are nothing but hot air. Some values are not universal and are not adaptable nor should it be forced upon any particular cultures and peoples all because you lot decided for it to be jolly and good.

And at the end of the day, who are we really kidding. This contest was inevitable regardless of who became the President in the U.S. and or which political party is in power. America sees itself as the pre-eminent power, guided, aided, and abated by divine providence, a sense of destiny that the world is it's oyster and that China ought not to upend or have the right to ask or demand to be given an equal footing a.k.a. win win. You demand for China to submit when all it asked is a win win cooperation. You demand for China to upend and destroy the very political system that has led the country, society to it's most economically successful achievement in it's entire history is not only insulting but delusional. Quit being a butthurt cry baby like China and us Chinese have already exacted some type of violent actions against any western countries and or to your kind. I mean, you're already dreading and crying the mere possibility that China may want to exact some kind of blood retribution as payback for what has been done against her when we're simply having a back and forth rhetorical sanda how much more when an actual kinetic action does actually takes place. I can only shudder to think the histrionics and hysterical nonsense you're going to come up with. Relax bud. We ain't going to bite. Not that hard anyway. Just a little.

Saying things like “so what?”, “they are tiny”, etc. is missing the point, if 1 country shifts then it’s important, because it can happen again, and if it builds any kind of momentum you can have a new political block aligned against China. If it’s not fully understood why this happens and how to counter it then it will happen again. Plese don't stick your head in the sand thinking it doesn’t matter.

It does not matter.

What matters is accessing the battlefield.

If a pawn is sacrificed, then so what?

It is up to you to prove how that country is not a pawn.

Then if you can prove that country is not a pawn, then you must prove how others in Europe will be compelled to follow it.

Any reasonable arguments will do. General statements that he has a chance, is not realistic or relevant.

Guys, I want the same things as you.

I said “you lot” meaning plural, as in the atmosphere in the thread, the hate speech we often see here, not specifically from the person I replied too, sorry if that wasn’t clearer.

Yes, I want a destinction made made between the elites and the common folk.

I know what the western media is doing, I am not completely brain washed, I get my news from a variety of sources which I have even mentioned on this forum before in order to have a balanced view.

I hate that the media is brainwashing everyone in the west and especially where I live (not Scotland, that’s where I was born, I left at 22 and believe it or not my first job was with Chunghwa Picture Tubes a Taiwanese company all the bosses were Chinese, and I have lived in England, Belgium and now USA for nearly 10 years, in California and Texas for a year, just so you know what I have been exposed too).

I used to be so proud of the BBC, I used to think it was the best thing the UK ever did, a way to get the news free from the bias of advertisers, with a mission to inform, educate and entertain.

I only realized it’s not true when I saw the crap they write about China despite all the evidence otherwise, or the things they never report like the breakthroughs or poverty relief, cause I know what’s going on more than most, I read this forum for example.

I have seen the media convince people that everything China does is bad, it’s not their fault, they are innocent in this, they are being manipulated en mass, so why hate them?

Some people in this forum post some terrible anti-western hate speech, I’m not talking bout the senior, respected members, and I guess I blew a gasket.

I have sent people links to this forum, eg in the UK Defense Journal, telling them to come here and learn something, but the first thing they see is the Breaking News forum, them they open it and it’s full of hate, they leave and then report that the forum is a hateful one and to avoid it.

This is why I got upset for the last couple of days, the general attacks on innocents when you really need to focus on the elites, the manipulators. And I directed my anger at siegecrossbow harshly because of a comment he made, I’m sorry for that over reaction.

Let’s get back to the breaking news, there is so much happening, I love living in interesting times!

It is my *concern* that what is happening in Lithuania is the *start* of something.

I don’t think it matters how big they are, they are a country and a country is either going to be in one camp or both. China doesn’t care how small the countries are that recognize Taiwan, they want the all to recognize China no matter how tiny.

A small country can have a big influence.

For example, Lithuania’s actions have influenced the US to possibly rename the Taipei office to Taiwan, whether it’s all coordinated in advance doesn’t matter.

Yes it’s probably a pawn and not acting independently which is even more reason to take it seriously, because is the plan to stop at Lithuania? Or have another, slightly larger country, rename their Taipei office?

So, my fear is it’s a trend, this is the first example. The fact that the US is so *very* organized about the next steps for Lithuania suggest this is well prepared and repeatable.

I hope it’s not going to happen, but what else has the US got to try?

Yep... Just kidding.
In all seriousness, that's just how democracy works. If someone complains about the UK, or Europe etc they can complain about the government and the people. Because the government is elected by the people, they are suppose to represent the people. Yes we know that's not true in reality, but to the outsiders it's the same in theory.

I’d also say that I think China has headed off this threat by stopping the US from doing the renaming itself, at least so far.

Lithuania is definately a pawn used to "test" the water. If anyone thinks this is open to a flood gate of other countries to follow is delusional at best. The reasons Lithuania is choose is because they gave very little to loose by breaking off relationship with China.

Now, try that trick with Germany and see if they are willing to sacrifice their profitable relationship with China?

The Hyprocracy of the western MSM always harp on about how China is using cheque book to prise countries away from Taiwan. But when Taiwan does it, it does it because of genuine concern to help develop and improve the poor of the said county. See the difference?
