The thing is the racist is a black guy! I mean come on. Of all people, he must have suffered racism sometime in his life living in white dominated U.S. and so know who it felt to be on the receiving end of a racist rant. Yet, he feels strongly enough to deliberately stopped whatever and where ever his going to make racist remarks at innocent Asians going about their business. Gee.

Racial differences are emphasized by the media and the ruling elite in the guise of "fighting racism". The result of this is a divided people that fights among themselves.

Happens all the time. Every time the Russians do it it triggers the Japanese government to no end. And being Russian their politicans offer up amazing responses like:

"If you had any honour left you would either fight us to death over these islands or have the decency to commit ritual suicide as men from your land once did."

And when asked once why Russia should own those islands Putin said "well that was the result of World War 2".

Didn't Putin once said he never heard of a country who lost war but still has territorial demand.

I have tried to give it a rough translate. Not 100% accurate but sufficient to understand what Xie is saying.

Vice Minister Xie: "The so-called three-pronged US strategy of "competition, cooperation and confrontation" is but a way to blindside the Chinese and to contain China. At its core is confrontation and containment, cooperation is only a temporary solution and competition is an agenda setting trap. When it needs something from China it will demand cooperation; and when it comes to fields it holds an advantage, it will decouple and sanction; to contain China it will risk confrontation. It only wants to address issues the US is concerned with, and only wants to obtain outcomes the US wants to achieve, and benefit unilaterally. It does all the bad deeds and wants to obtain all the benefits, is there such logic in this world?"

Xie then said, the so-called maintaining of "rules based international order", is but a way to package its own and a select few Western countries' 'domestic rules and regulations' as international law and international order. It's a way to renegate (on existing rules), to alter the rules to limit others and benefit themselves, it ultimately wants to implement the "laws of the jungle" where the fittest and strongest survives to bully countries weaker than them.

Xie Feng: The China-U.S. relationship is in a stalemate, fundamentally because some Americans portray China as an "imagined enemy"

2021/07/26

On 26 July, Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Xie Feng said during talks with U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman that the China-US relationship is now in a stalemate and faces serious difficulties. Fundamentally, it is because some Americans portray China as an “imagined enemy".

For quite some time, when talking about conflict with China and challenges facing the U.S., the "Pearl Harbor moment" and the “Sputnik moment" have been brought up by some Americans.

What does it imply? Some international scholars, including some U.S. academics, perceive this as comparing China to Japan in the Second World War and the Soviet Union in the Cold War. It seems as if by making China an “imagined enemy", a national sense of purpose would be reignited in the U.S.

The hope may be that by demonizing China, the U.S. could somehow shift domestic public discontent over political, economic and social issues and blame China for its own structural problems. It seems that a whole-of-government and whole-of-society campaign is being waged to bring China down.

It is as if when China's development is contained, all U.S. domestic and external challenges would go away, and America would become great again and Pax Americana would continue to go on. The U.S. keeps making an issue with China. It's as if the U.S. side has nothing to talk about except about China. We urge the United States to change its highly misguided mindset and dangerous policy.

US ‘rules-based intl order’ is ‘law of the jungle' to contain others: Chinese vice FM tells US envoy

The fundamental reason for the deadlock in China-US relations is that some in the US always see China as an "imaginary enemy," Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Xie Feng said during a meeting with US Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman on Monday morning, urging the US to change its misguided mindset toward China and its extremely risky China policy.

Xie met with the US envoy in North China's Tianjin Municipality amid increasingly tense bilateral ties fueled recently by the US' moves of imposing sanctions on several Chinese officials over Hong Kong and its groundless accusation that China is engaging in cyberattacks.

China has delivered two lists of major concerns to the US during Xie's meeting with Sherman.

In the lists, China asked the US to unconditionally lift visa restrictions on members of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and their families, as well as on Chinese students and stop suppressing Chinese companies and hindering the development of the Confucius Institutes, Xie told the media after the meeting.

The US should stop labeling Chinese media as ''foreign missions'' and revoke the extradition of Meng Wanzhou, he said.

Some people in the US have been bringing up the so-called "Pearl Harbor Moment" and "Sputnik Moment" in reference to the China-US conflicts. The aim of such metaphors is to demonize China as the "imaginary enemy" to divert Americans' attention away from their dissatisfactions with domestic politics, economy, and society, Xie said during the meeting.

"Washington has been trying to contain China, thinking that will solve its problems as if the only way for the US to become great again is to contain China's development," Xie noted.

Xie also pointed out that the Chinese people can see that the US-claimed "competition, cooperation, and confrontation" policies are nothing but cover-ups for exerting pressure on China.

"Confrontation and containment are the fundamentals, cooperation is for expedients, and competition is a trap of discourse. When the US needs China, cooperation is required; in areas where China has advantages, they cut off supply chains and impose sanctions," Xie said.

He went on to say that in order to suppress China, the US will not hesitate to start conflicts. "To settle whatever the US wants to settle, and to get whatever the US intends to have, it has been seeking unilateral benefits all along. How can there be such a rule where one does all the bad deeds but takes all the benefits?"

The so-called "rules-based international order" put forward by the US is a disguise that packages rules set up by a few Western countries. It is the US version of the "law of the jungle" where it abandons the widely accepted international law and trample on the international system, so that it can profit and bully others, Xie noted.

In talking about human rights issues, Xie said that the US should handle its own problems first before pointing fingers at others.

The US has no right to claim it's the representative of democracy and human rights when it has committed genocide against the indigenous people, left a death toll of over 620,000 people from ineffective COVID-19 response, and provoked wars globally using lies and its military forces.

Russia should invite China to participate in a multi-national amphibious-landing exercise in those islands!

And the cheeks of U.S. and Canada telling the world that the Meng's sorry saga is not politically motivated. Lol

I'm not a violent man, nor do I normally condone violence. But I make exception for racists everywhere.

Here in New York, a black man (of all people) making racist remarks "everyone should go back to China" at Asians got his comeuppance!

I am all for self defence, but that there unfortunately wasn’t self defence.

Did the racist idiot deserve it? Probably, but it’s not a good look, especially the sucker punch. If you are going to throw the first punch, at least throw it in the guys face rather than behind his back.
