The tweet is certainly a political satire but twisting it to be "antisemitic" is absurd psychological gymnastic. Israel does NOT have the right to use the suffering of Jewish people in the past and world sympathy to shield its role in Arabian people's suffering today.

A cursory examination of the military portion reveals that the so called expert uses vastly outdated info on the PLA. Chinese military exercises have stopped being scripted since the early 2010s and in Stride 2014 and other exercises from the 2014 onwards, the Blue Force has won an overwhelming portion of the engagements. Likewise, PLAAF pilot flight hours for 4th and 5th generation pilots have been estimated to be over 180 hours annually in a 2018 report by flight global. Unless the expert was comparing USAF transport pilot hours with those of PLAAF fighter pilots, there is no way that there could be a discrepancy of 100 to 80 hours since USAF actually reduced the number of flight hours per pilot since the use of more realistic flight training simulators. Those are basic mistakes I don’t even expect a rookie PLA watcher to make, let alone a self-professed avid reader of Chinese military literature. Unless of course he is using Pinkov as his primary information source.

Following the advice of such incompetent "think tanks" are more detrimental for US decision making than helpful since they encouraging maintaining the status quo. Even crazies like Tom Cotton recognizes that China has an advantage in many fields.

There's so much wrong with that article I don't know when to start.

With the point you raised, even if there's a discrepancy in flight hours - its to do with shortages of planes and not because Americans are more "free". Something that will easily be corrected as a GDP grows bigger.

I've no idea whether this is true or not, but when did an ideologically motivated soldier become a bad thing? What does the American soldier fight for?

The author needs to spend time studying the ancient Greek concept of hubris.
