Say the US decides to intervene in a Taiwan scenario, would it be able to use its bases in Korea and Japan? Korea and Japan are 1000+ miles away from the Taiwan Strait, out of range of fighter aircraft.

Part of PLA's Anti-Access Area Denial strategy (A2AD is a DoD term - I'm sure PLA war planners have their own specific wording, but the strategy still applies) is to take out their AWACs and tankers in such scenario, hindering the US's ability to secure air dominance.

I am still not happy with some of the explanations given before.

Why J20 do not have pitot tube?
Why J15 have pitot tube?
Why some have, some don't? What are the critical criteria that determine the pitot tubes?

so all China has to do is take out the tankers, and the US won't have F22 F35 F16 F15 support from Korean and Japan? so all they have is F18 from a couple of carriers lol. theres no way they win LOL.

What is the number of Jh-7 and Jh-7A in service? Huitong says it's construction ended in 2016, so it had pretty long production run.
