Writing from the side of the interested lurker, the last few months have been a little tough indeed. The quality or state of being relevant to the subject under discussion is something that I encounter less and less in this valuable - to me - community. Many top level technical discussions are getting repeatedly sidetracked and minutiated to oblivion. And that is the good scenario, because the bad is them getting shitcanned by endless political drivel.

We all have to do better. Please.

SDF is a microcosm of the larger real world out there. We have supply chain disruption, auto chip shortage, trade war, tech war, COVID, Huawei ban, hostage, sanctions, threat of war, etc. etc. The world is upside down, the status quo is no more. All these will spill over into this little Garden of Eden if it was one at all before.

This is just a harbinger of things to come. The real troll deluge has yet to start. If we don't entertain trolls no matter how much we itch to correct/oppose what they say things might not escalate too much.
