094 Confirmed???

Check this link out and let me show you guys some pictures. It says JL-2 Test fired from 094 nuclear sub.

I have my doubts about them, the guys in the picture look Western, anways these pics have been in Chinese Forums for a day now. Here's another one.

I didn't bother putting them in the pic thread because I didn't know if they were real 094 SSBN pics or not... it's un-PLAN for them to let people take picture of inside their subs, esp 094... I mean the HAN and XIA are old and we still don't know how the inside look.. We only know the inside of SONGs because Westerners been in them and PLAN doesn't care much anymore..
But to the point, it's not a REAL JL-2! It's a Trident SLBM... and the sub inside is probably American Ohio Class

Actually that missile is a Trident I-C4 to be exact. Those have been removed from service, and now the standard is Trident II-D5 thermonuke. And yes, these pictures are taken from the inside of an Ohio SSBN.

Leave the nuke sub, we dont even know how even J10 looks like from inside. They are so super secret about every thing.

Aside from the photos, there're quite a few reports around stating 094 being already deployed. But all claim their source as being a German magazine, not sure how reliable they are though.

據中共共青團機關報《中國青年報》轄下《青年參考》引述德國權威軍事刊物《國際海軍》報導，中國最近已完成○九三、○九四級核子動力潛艇的部署與訓練工作，正式進入解放軍海軍作戰行列。

報導說，○九四級型核子動力戰略導彈潛艦將配備十六枚射程達一萬公里的「巨浪二型」潛射導彈，若以每枚導彈內僅裝備最低數量三枚核彈頭計算，一艘○九四核潛艦將可同時打擊四十八個目標，戰力等同四艘夏級戰略導彈潛艦。

西方軍事專家分析指出，中國核潛艦命名規律是單號為攻擊型、雙號為戰略型，○九三型核潛艦屬於漢級攻擊潛艦改良衍生型，其水面排水量六千噸、水下排水量七一五○噸；而○九四型則是接替夏級核子戰略導彈潛艦，最大水下排水量一萬噸，並採用中國最先進第四代核反應爐技術，據稱整體戰力可與美國俄亥俄級核潛艇匹敵。

○九四級核潛艦因具有噪音小、隱密性高、機動性大、生存力強與導彈射程遠等特點，其建造與服役時間備受西方各國關注，美國軍方人士稱，六艘○九四級潛艦一旦部署完畢，中國水下戰略核力量將提升至「全新水準」，並具有涵蓋整個歐亞大陸、澳洲與北美的核打擊能力。

此外，大陸軍事網站也引述《現代艦船》雜誌一篇文章指出，中國新建１１５導彈驅逐艦將具備反彈道飛彈能力，未來成軍後將部署在北海艦隊以護衛首都北京空防。

報導形容該新型驅逐艦的飛彈防禦系統與美國海軍神盾系統類似，加拿大《漢和防務評論》曾指出，１１５艦的建造過程曾獲俄羅斯北方設計局協助，且中國於二○○二年曾向俄羅斯採購二套價值六億美元的S-300里夫Ｍ型艦載防空導彈系統，外界預測此俄製系統將配備在１１５艦。

由於里夫Ｍ型防空導彈系統具備部分反導彈能力，１１５艦在北海艦隊的主要任務將是反導彈，以確保京津溏地區不受戰略導彈威脅。

They are too secretive. Overly secretive. Many of us are waiting for any evidence of 094, or even 093 for that matter for confirmation. I mean if 093 actually did some sea trials, how about just a simple picture of the hull. Take a look at this..

These photos betray no secrets. There are alot of pictures showing the new Virginia, Texas, and Hawaii SSN's. Including some of the insides. There is absolutely nothing for an enemy to gain by seeing pictures of this type. Heck, they even did a documentary on the new Virginia SSN on the Discovery channel during their sea trials, and took cameras onboard. They didn't go into the reactor compartment or anything, but they were onboard. I would just like to see real evidence like a picture of 093 or 094 to confirm them. Not rumour from a German magazine. Or speculation from Jane's. Some of us are curious about these Chinese submarine programs. And it would show confidence on PLANs part. If 093/094 are indeed built and doing sea trials, PLAN should show it.

Then perhaps these subs aren't really ready yet.

Or maybe like the Shenzhou thing? Course a lot of publicity, but first manned launched of Shenzhou 5 wasn't live broadcast, and no footage until the Chinese were comfortable it was a safe launch.

Same thing here? Maybe what we know is true that China lost a Xia...

Perhaps there are issues with safety and radiation and reactors at the moment, and that if the Chinese show a picture now, if the subs were doomed in a disaster, it would be an embarrassment?

No offense to anyone but is this a cultural issue of always wanting to appear to be correct?....I mean really. Sea Dog is correct by this statement

Yep..I gotta agree with him. Come on PLAN show us the real deal..The USN shows their technology...with limits of course..to the world. Just what is the big secret? The USN has had nuke subs since the mid 50's. A few pictures and a little info won't betray any secrets....That's my opinion.
