The Type 052D and Type 055 have one 1130.

One helo hangar, similar sized exhaust to 054a, expected shape of main radar- two sided rotating array.

It's definitely photoshopped. There is no way they could build up the superstructure so fast, not to mention having the mast-mounted radar already installed.

This might be of some relevance. The image shows an onshore test facility where a gas turbine is coupled to a 21MW medium voltage generator.

I have a feeling that these are photos taken from the same facility of an 2015 photo, only from different angles. Compare the red circles.

Something about it definitely doesn't look right.

I'm not sure how much of it is doctored and/or if any of it is just an optic illusion.

I found the original photo on which the photoshopped image is based on. The real photo is that of a regular 054A under construction from years ago.

This might be of some relevance here. An on re-designing the appearance of a certain mast mounted rotating radar by applying the . I don't have access to the full paper, so screen captures will have to suffice. The paper deems the re-design to be more aesthetically pleasing. If the radar in question is indeed destined for 054B, I wonder which design we'll end up getting.

Wow this is one of the most BS papers I’ve ever seen for Chinese mil-tech research. They published a paper justifying the aesthetics of the mast? That’s just raw stupid.
