MARIETTA: Lockheed Martin delivered the 50th F/A-22 Raptor air dominance fighter to the U.S. Air Force today, marking another milestone in this revolutionary stealth aircraft program. The Raptor can dominate airspace anywhere around the globe, around the clock, and survive in contested airspace better than any other aircraft in the world.

"Fifty Raptors -- more than two full squadrons -- are in the hands of U.S. Air Force men and women charged with ensuring total air dominance for our nation so that all soldiers, sailors, Marines and airmen can do their jobs," said Larry Lawson, Lockheed Martin Aeronautics executive vice president and F/A-22 general manager. "Air dominance has been a vital element of every conflict since World War I. The Raptor is a leap forward in capability necessary to maintain our ability to own the high ground for the next four decades. We're proud to be a part of this achievement and look forward to continuing to provide the men and women defending our country an overwhelmingly effective weapon system."

Still advanced versions of Su-27 could have a good chance against raptors. And (ofcourse it's too early to say it, but whatever) it was reported, that in 2006 sukhoi will launch T-50 first prototype.

10:1, that's the simulated kill ratio between F-22 and Su-35.

Well, the Suhkoi isn't really obselete because the F-22 will not be everywhere. But it is true that stealth is a big thing. I am waiting for the others to make their stealth fighter.

But don't be disappointed. The F-22 isn't in full service and certainly is not outside the US. Its stealthiness also have not been confirmed yet.

This is just a promo/propaganda. Basing on technical stats i would give 1:2, but i suppose, that in real combat it would be like 1:1.

don't let your love of su-35 cloud your judgement here. The RCS of su-35 is abysmal, it will most likely still be using radar at bars level (which is highly advertised, but real range is like 140KM vs 1 m^2 targets) and the so called next generation Russian AAM is still in development.

To give you an idea:
the pilot of F15-C said that if F-22 pilot is having a good day, there is no way F-15C can shoot it down.
As for Eurofighter, it easily outmaneouvered 2 F-15E in that one encountered and had them targetted for take down.

And you can claim SU-35 is comparable to F-22 because you have access to classified information about the F-22?

US fighters have time and time again demostrated their superiority towards their RUssian counterparts. This was during the time when the Soviet Union have 300 billion dollar plus defence budget. What makes you think that they can come out with someting that can beat the F-22 now that their budget is fractions of what it was.

Su-35 is nothing more than an advance derivative of a dated airframe. Putting 3d thrust vectoring on it does not make it superior to the F-22.

F-22 has radar far more advance than what the Russians can field.
F-22 is invisible to radar.
F-22 has super cruise capability
F-22 has thrust vectoring capability
F-22 has superior thrust to weight ratio.

Those are just the unclassified data.

not really invisible. some basic calculations show that a radar of the type 1473 class can detect it at 2.2 km. Assuming it gets that close.
