There's contradictory stories about Harrison Ford wanting to exit because he did want Han to die back during Return of the Jedi. So why bother even taking on the role in Force Awakens if he still felt that way? Besides Ford is at that part of his career where he's not getting leading roles anymore and I've seen him in interviews basically saying show me the money when asked about if he would this or that movie. Paying for his flying hobby cost money. I've also seen JJ Abrams say in interviews that Han Solo dying was a last minute decision literally while filming that scene.

I've heard stories where they have to pay Harrison Ford in the sum of $70 million just to play Han Solo?:eek:o_O I guess that's why the studio and decision makers decided to kill his character off.

That might be through the back end which is dependent on how much the movie makes in the box office. Robert Downey Jr. makes that kind of money doing Iron Man movies because of the back end which is why he's the biggest paid actor on those years.

Carrie Fisher's death seems to have caused chaos for this trilogy and it looks that way watching the movie. From what I read before her passing, she had a larger role in the Last Jedi. If that were true and by how the movie played out, it looks to me her parts were heavily edited out meaning she probably would've survived The Last Jedi and played a significant role in Episode 9. My friend told me he read that each movie in this trilogy was suppose to parallel the original trilogy and because of Fisher's death they had to change plans and have both Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi crammed into Last Jedi. Leah was suppose to be the one to turn Kylo Ren back from the dark side. The part you're referring to was suppose to happen in Episode 9 of course not exactly how it played out in The Last Jedi.

Sorry, I'm trying to avoid spoilers in the movie hence why I can't get into details. Because of Fisher, Episode 9 now seems to be an unplanned start-over going off course of what they initially planned and that's why they did what they did.

Luke's Ark is complete. Mark Hamill himself has Said this in an Interview. His story was his rise and the redemption of Darth Vader, his failure with Kylo Ren and now his own return and teaching to Rey. The major Theme of Kylo Ren has been inspiration from the past.
and then it's destruction. Luke's purpose was to be the seed of the Force The Last Jedi. he was to clean slate the Sith and Jedi bring the Force back to Balance.
And now the Force is in Balance. a 1 to 1 Ratio One Sith and one Jedi. Adam and Eve if you will. Luke's role was to introduce Ben to the Force he would be Turned by Snoke, into Kylo Ren. Who would become his master and then in accordance with the Sith Rule of 2 the Apprentice would Kill the master.

As Ben Turned the Force endowed Rey to match or as Snoke put it
Darkness Rises and light to meet it. Luke's Role for her was to take the instinctive under standing she had of the Force and finesse it.
Now What happens next
is going to be interesting. Kylo Ren is now presumed Supreme Leader and the resistance has lost major assets. The First order has Grown Strong As it goes into hiding Ren may face an unexpected challenge from Snoke.
Luke used a Force trick to appear at the end battle, there is no rule that says Snoke couldn't have done something similar, It's all about being
in Balance and there are hints that the old boy may be a player in episode 9 coming in 2 years.

Ok guys was it better or on par as compare to Star War's Rogue One film?:D

Rogue One was better. Although Rogue One was slow if you looked at the film as a whole it made sense. You can clearly see that Disney is trying to put more nonstop action and less into character and plot development into the Star Wars movies to please the younger fan base. Can you imagine if today’s kids and teenagers tried to watch the OT? They would fall asleep.

With TLJ the whole Finn and Rose Canto Bight scenes was actually pretty useless. I’m not going to spoil it but for those who haven’t watched it but for those who did they’ll understand because Haldo was holding out her secret plans.

And the whole First Order chasing the Resistance ships is just complete BS. I’m sorry but can’t they call in a couple of frigates or corvettes to chase the Resistance ships? Not to mention they had more than enough tie fighters to sacrifice to take out one Resistance crusier. Or maybe they could have used their heads and send a couple of their destroyers ahead via a short hyperspace jump to wait for the Resistance. Like come on it’s the First Order.

Not to mention the character developments sucked in this film. Hux was at least terrifying in TFA. In TLJ he is literally an incompetent general who is purely there for humor.

I’ll sum it up as this:

Good: the action scenes, the visuals, and the acting

Neutral: soundtrack and comedy

Bad: Story and character development - Canto Bight aka Finna and Rose plotline, follow up to TFA (nothing connected with TFA, they didn’t explain who the KoR were in the force back from Rey), Rey, Snoke, Phasma, Luke (Hamill himself said when he read the script TLJ he didn’t like the way Rain was taking it), Mary Poppins aka Leia (like seriously did the producers not notice the shield was still up when she did her thing?).

Because I had already let the cat out of the bag in my first blunder, I did not see any harm in a little speculation,
However because of the blunders I'll withdraw from this topic. ..... Cheers
