Yesterday after work I went to my oldest Grandson's (Braedon's) Jr. High Tennis tournament. He and his team mate, Conner, won 6-3. Thery're both about to turn 14 years old. Here's a few pictures.

As you can see...I'm really liking this Papa (grandpa) life! LOL!

Canada - Belorussia (game starts at 1615 hours of local time)
Sweden - Russia (game starts at 1915 hours of local time)
Finland - Czech Rep (game starts at 2015 hours of local time)
will pack up its things -- one-game play-off ... in case you're a fan in Hong Kong :) add six hours to those times; on the US East Coast, subtract six, West Coast, subtract nine ... and enjoy!

Don't underestimate the heart of a champion!

I was about to turn in about 40 minutes ago when the Rockets were down by almost 20. I thought they were done. Then they came back with a bang! They ended up winning the game by 12! A huge and unbelievable turn-around!

They won the NBA title twice in '94 and '95. The phrase was said by the then head coach, Rudy T.
I'm well aware of their championship repeat; was not aware of the origin of the quote. I remember, quite well, the 95 series. It seems that Mr. O'Neal, though, has either forgotten, or pretends to have forgotten that it. It doesn't support his Superman mythology!;)

Okay, now for the REALLY important sports news.

One of my grandsons played in a League Football playoff tournament this weekend.

Now THAT's what I am talking about.

They won the 1st game, advanced to the quarter finals that afternoon, and then lost that game. Their season is over, but as a proud Papa, I still have to crow a little.

My youngest son played flag football. He was a half back. He played for about four seasons. He was really good..outstanding in fact. He was recruited to play football in Pop Warner and high school.. but alas...he did not want to play tackle football and was more interested in basketball.

Oh well......on a final not my son played his final game against Reggie Bush. He did not fair well...they lost that championship game and he was really upset...he walked home by himself....However he did win MVP of Flag Football that same season over Reggie Bush.
