In the NFL, the New England Patriots won against the Baltimore Ravens yesterday in a good, close came, with a GREAT come back by New England. Brady was GREAT..

The Seattle Sea Hawks had their way with the Caroline Panthers.

Now we have the Dallas vs Green Bay PAckers in Green Bay today. Green Bay is 8-0 at home this year. Dallas is 8-0 on the road...so it should be a good game.

Then later, we have the Denver Broncos against the Indianapolis Colts.

Those games will decide who plays in the NFC and AFC Championship games next week...and the winner of those ames will then play in the Super Bowl.

In the mean time, in college football, we have the Championship tomorrow with Oregon against Ohio tomorrow night.

I would like to see Ohio State win...but do not believe they will be able to stand the pace Oregon sets unless they can find a way to slow it down. Getting to the QB and having long, grinding, drawn out drives of their own leading to touchdowns is how they could do it...but, as I say, I have a hard time believing they will be able to the way Oregon has been playing.

An amazing decision by the Seahawks. I believe they had the game in the bag and they had another two tries for their runner to score while further running out the clock.

I would never have passed in that situation. Would have considered some play action on 4th down if necessary...but not then.

Watch the fans reactions from both teams after that incredible interception by the Patriots Malcom Butler.:)

That was a stupid stupid play by the Seahawks. No other ways to put it. I mean, you are at the 1-yard line and 2nd down! Run the damn ball! Football 101... Plus, Lynch had been performing spectacularly the entire game. Give him the ball! And what did they do? They passed the ball and got intercepted... What do you expect? Wilson will get grilled for this.

I think quite possibly the Seattle Seahawks coaching staff were panicking at the last moment. I think they were expecting the Patriots to call "time out" first, to think things through but instead let the clock wines down. That resulted in Seattle to quickly go with passing play in a rush to beat the clock.

The Patriots had two timeouts left when

got tackled at the one-yard line with 60 seconds left. Instead of using his timeouts to make sure his team would get the ball back to answer if Seattle scored, Belichick let Seattle run the clock all the way down to 25 seconds before that fateful 2nd down play.

on Wednesday and said he didn't call timeout because the personnel group that Seattle put on the field suggested the Seahawks were going to pass, which is what he wanted.

His explanation:

"We put our goal-line defense in probably around the same time they were sending in their multiple receiver group, and that’s kind of what we wanted to be in there, to make sure they didn’t run the ball in.

"... We saw that matchup and we certainly gave some consideration to taking a timeout there and leaving some time on the clock. I don’t know if that would have been a bad thing to do. It might have been a good thing to do. But it just seemed like in the flow of the game that we were OK with where we were."

Basically, the Patriots liked the matchup that the Seahawks were trying to exploit.

Basically, the Seahawks were out-coached in that play! I thought it was the QB who panicked and passed the ball. If they sent out multiple receivers (I'm not familiar enough with their team to tell...), that means the Seahawks coaching staff intended to pass on the next play, which is a bad bad decision. Then Wilson is off the hook. The coaching staff, especially the offensive coordinator and the head coach, would be at fault.

A possible explanation was that the Seahawks coaching staff wanted to surprise the Patriots. They knew that everyone including the Patriots expected them to run. So they decided to surprise them by passing. One thing that they forgot was that the most well-known strategies are well-known because they are highly effective. It doesn't matter if your opponents know about it. It will work most of the time! All they had to do was to rush 1 yard! One Yard!

WHAT?! LA is getting 3 NFL teams (Chargers and Raiders, Plus possible Rams)! I felt sorry for San Diego and St. Louis fans that's not fair to them. Now the Raiders can leave the Bay Area for LA and I don't mind. It's 49ers country anyway. Even the propose stadium concept drawing reminds me of Levi's Stadium (49ers) in Santa Clara.

(Raiders and Chargers combine stadium proposal)

Possible LA Rams SEPARATE proposed stadium.

Yes I would say most of the SF/Bay Area are majority 49ers fans but the Raider fans are not small in numbers and mostly hardcore. Two or even three teams in LA? The reason why LA can't keep a team is because there's no real fan loyalty. LA is filled with people from all over the country going there. Their loyalty is mostly to their home town team. Yeah they'll get crowds in LA as long as they win. As for the Davis family in regards to the Raiders... they're the main problem why the Raiders don't win.
