Hmm. I can't speak for you, but I'd say the attractiveness of one's looks will certainly affect to some degree how willing you will be to watch them, regardless of your sexual orientation.

Of course, things are a little different seeing as we're talking about basketball, but personally I find it more pleasing to the eye to watch Iverson than Nowitski... (Yes, I know they have very different playing styles.)

it doesn't take a gay person to figure out Dirk is ugly or that Dampier and Howard are both ugly.

Anyway, great performance by Wade last night. He was a great player before this. Now, he is the best player in the league, even better than Kobe and Lebron. There is nothing you can do to stop this guy.

Anyway, just my daily wrap.

Germany-Sweden on midsummer day!... after a whole day and evening of herring and schnaps it will have to be a extremely good game to keep me from dozing off. It will be a tough game as the Germans are fierce opponents, but its 90 minutes and the ball is round as they say... Soo good luck Germans!

There no need for buzzling over the winner any more....;)

From Pravda
Nostradamus wrote that the Spanish king and his army will cross over the Pyrenees at the end of the sixth month of the sixth year. The king will win the battle with Beelzebub on the fields of Central Europe, and the army will return the Holy Grail to Spain. The journalists interpreted the prediction in the following way. “The Spanish king and his army” is the national Spanish football team and its coach Luis Aragones. “The fields of Central Europe” are the football stadiums in Germany, and “the Holy Grail” is the World Cup, of course.

It goes without saying that such a discovery has given a lot of hope to Spanish fans. Traditional specialists of football, however, are not so optimistic about Spain’s victory in the championship. The Spanish team has never made it even in the semi-final throughout the history of football. The Spaniards have been quite successful in Germany so far: they have played two matches for the time being and won both of them (4:0 vs. Ukraine and 3:1 vs. Tunisia).

The majority of specialists predict Brazil’s victory in the World Cup 2006. The Brazilian team will most likely play France in the final match of the current championship. Spanish, Argentine, Italian and German teams do not have many chances to win, not to mention other teams.

Nostradamus could be wrong with his prediction because football is an unpredictable game. It is enough to recollect the surprising third place which the Korean team took at the World Cup 2002 or the triumph of the Greek squad during Euro-2004.

My bet have been on spain regardless of the seers relevation anyway...:D

The prediction by Nostradamus, which although may not come true, is magnificient in its medieval description of the modern soccer World-Cup. A fine analogy to a pseudo-religion of today.

However, the prediction says, "will return the Holy Grail to Spain". Spain has never won the football world-cup, so the question of returning it does not arise. Hence the prediction may be referring to some other event, or it is a case of proving wrong by self.

Anyway, except Pakistanis and Indians, may I ask how many of the members have heard of or seen the second-most popular game in the world, that is Cricket ?

They like stopped showing it in the States. They used to show it a lot when Fox Soccer Channel was originally Fox Sport World.

One can only hope. It's possible. Then again, who knows - perhaps France or Spain will give Brazil a run for their money before they get to us. Though we have to wrap things up against Portugal first!

Portugal ....

With 5 yellow cards and their best men out of the match...

Why was everybody blaming the Ref anyway ? It wasn't his fault
that they were both fouling jerks...I mean why wasn't Figo sent off ?
