Just like how some people refuse to see an Asian man doing well at the 100 meters race they also have trouble accepting an Asian race car driver winning the Indianapolis 500.

On Sunday Takuma Sato became the first driver from Japan to win the iconic race, prompting Terry Frei to dispatch this controversial missive:

The now-deleted tweet earned him plenty of backlash and perhaps cost him his job.

The Golden State Warriors won the 2017 NBA Championship last night! Way to go, Curry and Durant!

Kevin Durant was criticized for leaving OKC last year. I simply don't see the logic in the criticism. Teams can trade players at will. And their decisions are considered as strictly business. No one talks about management having to be loyal to the players. Yet, when players ty to find the best ways to advance their career, they all of a sudden become disloyal to the team and the city...

Yes, Durant became famous while in OKC, but he also made a lot money for the team and the city. OKC, which is in the middle of nowhere, has been put on the map because of the Thunders and what Durant has done. Yes, Durant was paid a lot of money, but the ownership made so much more and the city also made much more because of taxes and increased business all around because of a successful ball club.

I honestly believe Durant did more for the team and the city than the team and the city have done for him. He could still be Durant anywhere he goes. He was drafted second in 2007. He has enough talent and work ethics to become a super star anywhere he goes. OKC was put on the map because of him.

The same goes with LeBron James when he decided to leave Cleveland. I didn't care so much for his "Decision" hoopla, but I respected his decision.

A MEMORIAL service for Cheick Tiote has been held in Beijing following his tragic cardiac arrest last week.

The former Newcastle star, who was just 30, collapsed during training for Chinese second division side Beijing Enterprises last week and died after being rushed to hospital.
And in the Chinese capital, his Beijing Enterprises team-mates stood around a coffin draped in the flag of the Ivory Coast with their heads bowed in respect, before his body was flown back to the African country.

Family and friends openly wept at the emotional service for the father of three, who played over 100 games in the Premier League for the Toon before moving to Asia.

Many of these players surrounded Tiote - who was reportedly expecting a fourth child - and tried to assist with the first-aid efforts to revive him at the training complex.

One of those present, defender Jin Hui, wrote in a post on social media platform WeChat Moments: “He just collapsed right in front of me. I still cannot believe this.”

Fans outside carried a banner saying "RIP" with Tiote's face and chanted his name, while soldiers saluted the tragic footballer.

Last week members of an official fan club visited the Beijing side’s stadium to lay flowers on the pitch in a brief ceremony.

Chen Zhenting, a spokesperson for the fan club, told BBC Chinese: "They came this morning in the rain to pay tribute to Mr Tiote.

"We are in pain and very, very sad to see him die at such a young age. There would definitely be a silent tribute."

Yay Emirates Team NZ beat Team Oracle USA to win the Americas Cup.Not bad for a team who would only have had a small percentage of the money that was available to Oracle.
It is funny how the racing team for Oracle team USA is made up of 5 Australians and an Antiguan.
Now that they have lost, the cup for America, they will have their Green Cards revoked LOL

Ronaldinho is one of the best football (soccer) player; however, I think he's old. There is an old Chinese saying "長江后浪推前浪" (The new waves of the Yangtze river pushes the old ones).
