This is a nice corvette...essentially a modernized Tarantula Class of the old Soviet era.

The Russians built two for Vietnam, and then Vietnam started up their own production line and built two more. I believe they are going to build another four for eight altogether.

They are a little larger than the older Tarantula class and more heavily armed with :

01 x 76mm, AK-176, DP gun
16 x Uran-E SSM missiles
04 x Igla-M AAW missiles
02 x 30mm, AK-630, CIWS

A range of 3,100 km, and a crew of 44.. Great solutions for the SCS, and a great compliment for their Gepard frigates, of which they will ultimately have six vessels I believe.
