picked this up at Borders for $1.50 before they closed for the very last time :(
Very good read! Definitely added to my knowledge. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in topics like this. I think nowadays when we talk China or Asia it MUST also include India as well.

Only media people in the west insist on tagging India along whenever they mention China, and that is born out of wishful thinking instead of cold, hard reality.

As much as some in the west want India to match and even eclipse China, it is simply not happening right now, nor does it look likely to happen any time soon.

have you read the book? it has nothing to do with matching or eclipsing China.. if you noticed most of these authors are ethnic indians or chinese themselves. The articles in the journal weren't written by some western media types.
