That is because, the Siachen glacier is the third largest reserve of fresh water after the Antartic and Arctic regions. In this century, many conflicts shall be fought over water.

P.S.> That Chinese minister/Chief/headman/secretary who was/is the "minister" of IT in PRC government (just like Zemin is/was the head/chief of CMC) did issue a blatantly false statement about Chinese IT exports being greater than India's.

Ahhh. Okay, I had also neglected the strategtic importance in PRC's control of the "headwaters" of major rivers in South Asia. My bad.

The IT export figure dispute has more to do with different defination of "Information Technology". Some have very narrow defination, others more broad. Generally speaking people who use a broader defination of IT use "ICT" (Information and Communications Technology). You can read about China's ICT export figures here:

But if you narrowly define IT exports to, say, software and IT services, then India is way ahead of China.

Hopefully that clears up the confusion and we can all just drop the subject.

I admit I made a serious mistake in reffering to the Indian position on Tibet. It is to be blamed on me that I did not know India's position (and rather suicidal) position on Tibet in the joint declaration of 2003. I searched the internet and found that the Indian media had criticized Mr. Vajpayee and the Indian contingent that visited Beijing.

Hi

IndianFighter it's ok we all make mistakes from time to time. Important
thing is to admit we're wrong and the take it from there.

However your second paragraph is going to be a bit difficult to do since
the Dalai Lama isn't asking for independence in Tibet anymore

Can you prove that he was false and you are right? Self justification is hardly the way to convince someone else.

PRC and its members DO NOT interest me.

India and its members DO NOT interest me.

Then don't say anything about it because I know more than you (yes, I'm self justifying, but so did you).

Isn't it rather interesting to come to a Chinese defence forum, the mission statement of which is:

"Since its launch in 2002, Chinese Defence Today (SinoDefence.com) has been aiming to provide the readers with the most comprehensive information and data on the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA), including its conventional weapon systems, weapon of mass destruction (WMD), space programme, C4ISR (command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance), and organisational structures."

and claim that:

"PRC and its members DO NOT interest me"

especially when it comes to a subject involving Chinese territory. I suppose Indianfighter just, by his own admission, confirmed that he is a troll. But then again, we knew that all along didn't we?

In light of this, I think it is clear that anything Indianfighter has to say should be treated as nothing more than rubbish. Once again, that isn't really surprising either, considering that nothing he had to say ever held any water.

I meant that the CPC and its members do not interest me. When CDF was in Ezboard, I had devoted an entire thread criticizing the CPC and its brutal and ruthless policies.Old members may remember that thread (it was lost after a server malfunction).

I disapprove of the CPC and its founding father, Mao, who backstabbed India on the Panchsheel treaty, that led to the 1962 war. It can be imagined that if Mao had not usurped Tibet illegally, then today Tibet would have been an independent nation, and relations between India and China would have been much better than they are today.
