Yes, it's really strange. Showing old product while they already have new version. If I was a buyer, I wouldn't even care to talk to them because they're showing an outdated product to me.

If space was the problem, they should make a new smaller model to display. I believe participating in such an airshow is no cheap. They should be more serious in business.

China went to the airshow did not really look buyer, they just showed what they had acheived, they emphasized in this aircraft that they can make another stealth aircraft,
You talk or not is not matter, so don't think it is so important .
I believed that China won't export any "stealth " aircraft ( even if you desperate want to buy )

A fighter aircraft's marketability is based on the product design, capability and what the final product will be. If Shenyang displayed its FC-31 on the European market, it is most likely to get PR points. The aircraft has received a lot of notice, globally. It is only a matter of time, a serious buyer will emerge for this aircraft. Like any product, there must be a baseline version which meets the standards of the product type, it's capabilities in comparison to other similar products on the market. On such a premise it is safe to assume that there will be further development on the FC-31s. Politics aside, the interested buyer would buy regardless of the political implications. So long as the manufacturer has a finished product. There isn't any doubt whether if FC-31 would take to the skies, with some country's ait force. It's more a question when. Time will reveal the truth, one just needs to be patient.

They will sell to countries along "one belt one road" who seek more reliance on China. Security decisions have factors in military/economic but above everything else a political decision. The maturity of the weapon system itself is less of a concern IMO, when compared to the future possibilities. If Pakistan is smart enough they should find a sales/reselling opportunity here.
