At Eurosatory 2012 Defence Exhibition which was held in Paris in June 2012, the Chinese defence Company Shaanxi Baoji Special Vehicles Manufacturing has introduced a new 4x4 armoured vehicle personnel carrier (APC) for the international market, the Tiger. The Tiger uses a 4x4 cross-country truck chassis which provides high mobility in all-terrain conditions. The Tiger APC has a crew of 2, which consists of the commander and driver, and can carry 9 fully equipped infantrymen. The vehicle has already undergone extensive off-road tests, and has shown great mobility on all terrains and in all-weather conditions. The vehicle has shown effective protection against firing of Type 56 Chinese 7.62mm caliber machine gun. During these firing tests the CEO of the Company Shaanxi Baoji Special Vehicles Manufacturing, Mister Wang Bao Ho was inside the vehicle.

The Chinese Wolf 4x4 was completely designed by Chinese engineers to meet the new needs of modern police forces, and the requirements for a light armoured vehicle providing maximum protection with high mobility and minimum cost. The Wolf can carry a total of 7 troops including driver, commander, gunner and four fully equipped infantrymen. ShaanXi Baoji Company has confirmed that the first production vehicles were delivered to the Chinese police, and several countries in Africa have already shown interest for this new vehicle.

Take a look at the Site there's a nice pic of the crew cabin who's floor is very very thick indicating that this is Mine Resistant. I had read once that the Chinese were watching trends of Combat gear being used by the US and Nato in Iraqi and Afghanistan for possible development too meet the needs of PRC forces. this certainly fits the profile of that. Like Most MRAPs It would probably suck in terms of off road, but in urban fighting or SWAT ops this would be a real asset now if only they would mount a Remote controlled Turret.
