Pardon ??? That image is indeed recent and so far this is the 11th T-50 ... however if You take a deeper look You have:

    051
    052
    053
    054
055 (crashed) and replaced by 055R (aka 06-1)
    056 (aka 06-2)
    057 (= static)
    058
    509
    510 still not finished
    511

What do You mean with "Many they have need 20"?

Nice to have an accurate account of T-50 prototypes,,,,, especially appreciate your accurate accounting of 055R and 6-2.

Forbin's little addendum chart is clarifying as well.. does it state that the gun port is covered and additional cooling radiators for the weapon are installed??

I would add that once 510 is finished, they will likely begin production of the first batches of the 12 aircraft for the Test and Evaluation squadron! I believe they will once again press India on joining the SU-57 project in earnest, although they did heavily invest in initial design,,, India's involvement seemed to be truncated?

Those drop tanks appear to be 600 gallon tanks

    Hi,

Just wanted to chip in regarding your post above Deino, 055 did not "crashed" but suffered a fire on the ground just after landing- if i recall correctly -on one engine, after suffering an inflight incident (OBOGS blew up, or perhaps engine problem of some kind, i can't recall exactly what the definitive problem was according to russian posters). Something akin to what happened to that J-15 recently.

Deino is just stating that 055 is a "write off", they took the center fuse of 6-1 and rebuilt it, as 055, since the original 055 was unsalvageable,,, they did likely reuse the undamaged wings, tail feathers etc. to build 6-1, into 055R... that's all he was saying!

we all have a little different inflection on things, since many of us are not native "English Speakers", LOL.... makes this a lot of fun though!
