Russian Navy F-431 Admiral Kasatonov Gorshkov FFG in 1-350 scale

The Russian Gorshkov frigate is Russia's latest and most capable frigate design.

Displacing in excess of 4,000 tons and armed with a large bore gun, 16 VLS tubes for anti-surface missiles and 32 VLS cells for anti-air warfare, which can also be quad packed for medium to short range missiles, these vessels are armed as well as most destroyers.

In fact, the Russians would like to replace their aging Sovremenny and Udaly class destroyers with these vessels.

Three of the vessels have been launched, with the first F417, Admral Gorshkov commissioned, the second F431 Admiral Kasatonov will be handed over to the Russian Navy late this year, and the 3rd is supposed to launch later this year.

This model was provided by Dutch Miniatures as a 3D printed model, which I then took and detailed out and painted as you can see.

This kit does not exist outside of the 3D printing world...not even a resin kit, and certainly not a plastic kit (which I would have preferred). The finish on these 3D printed kits is not as good...but it is a kit of the newest Russian frigate that no one else can provide.
