is to be blamed (it's the vendor of the whole AA missile system, and also of guns fire-controls (both 130mm and the Palash), for Project 22350 ... and soon after I had skipped reading the article earlier today, because it mentioned Project 11356, and I didn't know the connection to Almaz-Antey, but anyway I thought it was some strange article; now I reread it, did a quick search: Almaz-Antey is also the vendor of the "Shtil-1" AA missile system

which of course is the connection to Project 11356, so it was my thinking what was strange earlier today EDIT OK now I recall I was waiting for the lunch :)

NATO is a military alliance, and it can't have Russia (or any other state) dictating to one of its members, without addressing it as an alliance.
Okay, shall we include British and French nuclear arsenals in all disarmament deals?
Or they are, uh-oh, independent countries and that's completely other matter?

It's even forgetting simple fact, what european IBM in it's current form (Aegis ashore) can be counted as violation of INF treaty.

What is it you're getting at? Rational people know France, UK, and every other countries on the planet have Arms for reasons of security and national interest. As long as those countries believe keeping certain weapons serve their interests, they'll do so, and if those countries believe entering disarmament treaties is best for their interests, they will do that too.

Getting back to the original topic, it might have been in Russia's interests to tell Norway how to behave on defense policies, and it's in NATO's interests for Norway to act like a member of the pack. Nothing unusual in any of that.

Unique Russian mobile coastal defense systems held exercise with combat firing

The unique Russian A-222 Bereg-E mobile coastal artillery systems carried out firing against targets, which imitated ships of the conditional enemy.

Earlier, the crews had arrived at the range near the Cape Zheleznyy Rog on the Taman Peninsula in order to practice deploying the complexes.

The A-222 Bereg is a Russian 130 mm self-propelled coastal artillery gun, which was developed in the 1980s and first shown to the public in 1993 at an arms fair in Abu Dhabi. The system can effectively engage sea and ground targets moving at high speeds. Bereg-E is comprised of a central post with a fire control system, six self-propelled guns, and one or two combat duty support vehicles.

The A-222 Bereg mobile coastal artillery system used AK-130 automatic naval cannon with a caliber of 130 mm. The AK-130 gun is mounted on a wheeled MAZ-543 8×8 vehicle and was designed to engage surface ships and fast attack boats as well as ground targets. It is capable of engaging targets within 1–2 minutes and can fire up to 12 shots per minute.

As of 2003, the only operator of the system was the Russian unit 40th BRAP at a naval base in Novorossiysk at the Black Sea.

Russian Defence Minister inspected production process of Su-34 aircraft at the Novosibirsk aviation plant

The Novosibirsk aviation plant named after Chkalov exceeds the plan on introduction of the Su-34 bombers in the Russian Aerospace Forces. Deputy Defence Minister Yuri Borisov reported on that at the conference headed by the Minister of Defence General of the Army Sergei Shoigu.

Yuri Borisov explained that the plant was to introduce 14 Su-34 bombers a year. However, the plant has been introducing 16 such aircraft a year.

In 2017, the Russian Aerospace Forces will receive 16 new front bombers for the last three years. In total, the plant is to produce 92 such aircraft for the Russian Defence Ministry.

According to him, the plant will start modernization of these aircraft in 2018.

“I consider that Su-34 has huge export potential. Many counties are interested in this aircraft,” said Yuri Borisov.

The Novosibirsk aviation plant is included in the Sukhoi Company.
