You probably saw this, but it is worth repeating : Su-35 doing usual Flanker maneuvering, but this time with full air-to-air load . They probably wanted to prove that all those fancy moves have real combat value
P.S. This version of Su-35 is not a serial one (Su-35S) , it is one of the earlier prototypes with canards.

I love it all, but I'm not sure about the aero's or the looks of the stabilator, and I love the canted verts, but I bet they would have some buffeting issues?? it is a very pretty airplane, and one that would likely be nearly as stealthy as PAK-FA? OVT is also kool, a very nice airplane, and one that emulates the Silent Eagle or F-18 with conformal tanks. NEAT!
A very nice intercept, he comes in slow and low right, the P-3 is always visible to him, speed brake nicely deployed, he does get very close, but not heebie jeebie close, and the rate of closure is such that if the P-3 were to desire, he could come off high and left, or even low and left, if he got the jitters, shows just how foolish the P-8 intercept that created an incident East of Hainan Island really was, up and over inverted, KOOL on the movie Top Gun, very poor intercept, and placing the P-8 in jeopardy, just bad form, this while close is much more safe and sane.
Yes, I do realize that the purpose was to intimidate the P-8 crew, but given the current status of US/Chinese relations??? just not KOOL?
a very nice demo chief, and to be honest I had not seen that kinky, slow speed rolling inverted "dido" maneuver, but it very well illustrates the tractability of the Su-35, as all Flankers, the Brat classifies the Su-35 a very "happy" airplane.
