No it is not. While many Nato nations are invited to RIMPAC , RIMPAC is not orchestrated by NATO.

When I said "Rimpac is NATO without a treaty", I meant it is a NATO type of military cooperation of like minded countries, I did not mean it is orchestrated by NATO, or NATO is playing any role in organizing Rimpac.

    Here's the caption ....

SAN DIEGO (June 18, 2018) Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) departs San Diego in preparation for the ship’s participation in the Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) Exercise 2018. Twenty-six nations, 47 ships, five submarines, approximately 200 aircraft and 25,000 personnel are participating in RIMPAC in and around the Hawaiian Islands and Southern California. RIMPAC is the world’s largest international maritime exercise, providing a unique training opportunity while fostering and sustaining cooperative relationships between participants critical to ensuring the safety of sea lanes and security in the world’s oceans.
