It closes at 7PM! A lot of people take around an hour just to get back home because traffic is so bad in Austin.

Another thing that sucks is that there is no online registration in Texas. You have to either mail it in or do it physically. Probably a major turnoff for a lot of people too.

I received a robocall informing my ballot for this year's election was invalid. I live in an area where it's all mail-in. They tried to sound official but listen to the end it tells you this message was paid ad for some political organization in San Diego. They're trying to trick people into not voting.

That's unacceptable and should be illegal if it isn't already.

Back when it was Gore vs Bush and who won Florida, that caused a stir where people would complain about seeing unlocked metal ballot boxes and it was automatically assumed election tampering, I was living in a minority majority neighborhood and when you went to vote, the ballot box every year was a beat up used cardboard box where the slot where you slipped your ballot thru was someone took a cardboard cutter and cut a slit on top of one of the flaps. Unlocked ballot boxes equaled voter fraud? The security for the card board box was how you fold the flap end one over the other to keep it closed.

This is a completely different kind of problem than the other one you mentioned, still a problem.

Both cases show you how easy it is tamper with the election process and no one does anything about it.

That's simply not true, even here in "Po-dunk Holler" voter registration, voter privacy, and counting every ballot is held in the highest esteem.... I can assure you that our "election judges" take their job, and their responsibility to every voter, very seriously!

Never said it was happening. I'm going by people who think seeing an unlocked ballet box means it must've been tampered then that happens in my area all the time because they didn't even have a metal locked ballot box during that time.

Thank you for that Mace, in all honesty, in larger cities, people who aren't eligible to vote may be registered, I don't know if you realize it or not, but Chicago is famous for the "Daly Machine", so I believe there are instances of people using absentee ballots, motor voter, sending volunteers out to register anyone and everyone, including convicted felon's who in most states lose the right to vote....

in fact when you move, you must change your address at the county clerks office prior to voting...
