Went on a 'trip' recently. Not going to lie.. I did peeked out the window couple times while over relatively hostile airspace hoping I did not see any SAM flashes LOL. More of a psychological thing ;).

When I was a child I asked my dad to buy me ONE 1:18 scale diecast model car. Just one. He never did. He did by me a plastic 1:24 scale car. Not what I wanted. In Christmas 2009 my lovely wife bought me four 1:18 scale diecast models. Since then I've amassed the cars in the photo below. I just got the #3 Goodwrench Dale Earnhardt Chevy Monte Carlo yesterday from ebay....:D...I'm real happy with this total collect. And it will grow.;)

Very nice. I am big fan of ultra rare cars, like that one on bottom left. Here she is in real life:

Impressive, most impressive, the "death star",, what a flying machine!
Thanks.

She has always been one of my favorite aircraft and I was glad to get to build the 1/72 scale version. It was fun to put together.

I believe had we built 100 of them, they would have been very relevent to this day. Mach 3+ and a ceiling well over 80,000 feet, perhaps upwards of 90,000.

Some say she wouldn't have been...but then ask yourself, why did we build the SR-71 which had basically the same flight characteristics.

We used th SR-71 all through the cold war and try as they might (and they did try) the Soviets never shot a single one of them down...and they flew over contested space many, many times.

No, the B-70 was an amazing design...I just wish we had had an admin that would have had the guts and the mettle to build them.

Sort of like our last admin that slowed down, cancelled, and mis-designed several ground breaking and tech cutting projects.

We would already have a working rail gun at sea, we would have built several Zumwalts and even now be following them up with and air defense cruiser version, et., etc.

Anyhow, thanks for the compliments.!

Yes it is. The last survivor is still there.

I have visited Wright Pat several times. The latest was back in about 2012. She's still there and even more impressive to look at for real...though I like having that big model sitting there with the B-1B, the B-2...and soon to be a B=53 as well.
