I cook my own meals only only weekends. I make my own bread and desserts. All using healthy recipes, so not really palatable for the average Joe.

'Chopped' is one of my favorite cooking shows. The dessert is always the archilles heel of ethnic Chinese contestants, even for Anita Lo. So I think it is good to learn to make Western desserts, especially ice cream.

i always thought the Chinese were the first to develop ice cream B.C.

Nah. I'm 5' 9" and 144 Ibs. So my BMI is about 22. I'm actually quite fit. Although I don't have a 6-pack, my abs is flat and, on a good day, I can squeeze out a "2-pack", maybe a "3-pack". :p:p

My favorite food is steak. A 12 oz ribeye cooked to medium rare with some blue cheese would be my dream dinner. I also enjoy lamb chop. Fajitas with flank steak is also one of my favorites. I also cook a mean oven roasted pork belly with crispy skin (chicharrone style). I've actually converted a vegetarian with this dish :cool::cool:

With that said, I mostly eat chicken and veggies. I hate veggies. But if I eat enough veggies, I get to cook and eat actually delicious food on weekends without feeling guilty

I heard stories that the Dali Lama eats meat........Did you convert him?
You should no better than to eat too much red meat. After all it was them that told us it causes Colon Cancer.
Having said that I do like my steaks rare.I don't like grilled or barbecued steak. I heat up a thick cast iron frying pan until it's really hot and briefly sear the steak on both sides with just a bit of salt as a flavouring.Steak, Fries and a couple of eggs, sunny side up, no vegetables is my favorite.
However, I think fries using beef fat makes them taste better than all the alternative oils that are now used.
I don't care much for the way Asians serve up meat, however, Cummin Lamb is ok.
I forgot what the name of the Japanese dish I like where they serve up thin slices of marinated meat( i think its semi-raw)

Beef tataki.. That is some good stuff if you do it right.

You just haven't had well prepared beef cooked Chinese style yet.

And Tibetan Buddhism doesn't have any limitations on eating meat. They dont eat fish.

Oh right. Can you suggest something thats worth trying, thanks.

I can't say blame them. I tried fish in Thailand. I did not find it particularly appetizing as it had that muddy taste to it and the flesh itself was not very good.
