When the newspaper described the location as a remote rural village a hade a image of the traditional clay brick home one often sees that havent changed for 100yrs.Despite the fact that it's got a dirty big hole in the roof with a rocket .booster in the living room. it is better than some Ive lived in,

If it was me, I would,nt return it to the govt..I would raise the booster so it could be seen through the roof and put up a sign reading
"I may not be a rocket scientist , but Im pretty good at..........."

I had never seen this particular video from the Japanese tsunami...here you see an entire large town laid top rubbish in five minutes. At the end, people who thought they were safe are seen trying to get away and get up on the hill. Horrific.

That was such a hard video to watch at the end there. Those poor folks.

I know on some days when things are not as good as others, it brightens the day and helps one remember the most important things, and that how ever it may turn out, it can be for the best if we keep our faith and hope shining.

Pray for our old Sailor Man, LD, he presented at the ER this morning from the Rehab where hes been working to get better, with stroke symptoms, very confused?? they got him bagged and stabilized and flew him to DePaul Hosp in St. Louis. There they also found very elevated blood levels indicative of a heart attack, they were still elevated this evening? but they wouldn't allow him to eat or drink anything?? "starve you to death while they fix you"? anyway, he told the Honey Badger not to let him "forget breakfast in the morning" , so he was doing MUCH Better, keep praying gents, hes a great Father in Law.

Woo-hoo, we had 45 degrees this morning and our high tomorrow is supposed to be 64 degrees.

Definitely getting that fall feeling in the air and I for one am glad to see it!

I will trade your 64 degrees for a 95 degrees any day of the summer in this sweltering Texas heat. ONE more month or so before the temperature finally starts to drop (no...no it still will be hot and humid but not as bad).

The Valley Wildfire in California mushroomed out of control this weekend with gusty hot winds, and has destroyed hundreds of homes and other structures, burning into and through small towns, shutting down highways, and it is zero contained.

The pictures coming out of the Northern California wildfire are heart breaking and also phenomenal. Incredible destruction. Now over 400 homes have been destroyed and that count is going to go much higher.

This is around the Napa Valley in northern California, north and east of San Francisco.

All over America we are praying for cooler weather and rain to help abate the fire, assist the firefighters, and relieve the people.

Truly sad to see. That's one of the worse nightmares I feared as well. Your whole life of hard work and memories going up in flames. At least I hope they all had insurances and people are safe.

LD has had a second more serious stroke, his heart attack has complicated treating the stroke, so we are especially appreciative of your prayers and thank you in advance. Pray for Dot his wife and the Honey Badger, who has her hands, and arms full right now. bro bax
