Hey there guys.

As the title suggests, one of my questions is United States Navy boarding Procedure. Specifically, Boarding Procedures for Abandoned Ships. And not just a fishing craft, I mean a large vessel of a tanker-size or even exceeding. Also, I would like to know what sort of craft would participate in such a Boarding Action? Also, would craft of these types be used by the Japanese Maritime Defense Force? Do the Japanese have their own distinct Boarding Methods? What craft stationed of the U.S Navy in Japan would Participate in similar actions?

I ask these questions because I am trying to get information for a story I might be writing, and I want to make it as accurate as possible.

The USN RHIB(Rigid hull inflatable Boat) is used by the JMSDF. This is the same as the USN.

The JMSDF is trained, in many aspects, by none other than the USN In fact they often send their sailors to San Diego to train.

All USN ships have RHIB's an crews trained in boarding techiques.

The best info on how the USN uses RHIB and boarding techiqes is here;
