I'm actually convinced the round came from the left side of the picture. The case in point is the sequence of pictures posted by AssassinsMaze, here https://www.sinodefenceforum.com/effectiveness-of-wheeled-atgms-carriers.t96/page-4#post-448908, from which the picture in discussion came from. In the pictures it clearly show the rounds were fired from the left side of the picture (i.e. the cameraman in the foreground) with all the targets on the right side. There's just no reason to change firing directions of the targets in the middle of an exercise. And the way the billowing smoke of the explosion were blowing in the same manner and direction indicates that the pictures were taken at about the same time of the day.
