Ha! Even the street cleaning trucks are in perfect formation. And no one was supposed to even be looking at them!

There is a lot of general pride at participating in the event, and true grass roots pride about the achievements that parade demonstrates.

I think that's why the west is so rankled by it.

I saw a piece on the ABC (Australian Broadcasting Corporation) recently where a Nationalist veteran who stayed in China after the civil war ended was interviewed. The piece was mostly about the CCP recognising the KMT contribution to the war, and giving Nat vets a full army pension the same as retired PLA people get. What I found interesting was what he had to say about the fighting. He claimed his unit ended up using guerrilla tactics the same as the communists did, which kind of flies in the face of conventional wisdom about the war in China.

The thing which really impressed me is that he said it didn't matter if people were KMT and Communist, they were all fighting to defend China. It gives me hope that the situation with Taiwan will eventually be resolved peacefully.

I'll post a link to the interview if I find it online. Too busy to go looking right now.

Oh, I forgot, those trucks looking exactly like an ICBM Launcher is in fact transporting prefabricated tunnel, or legs of oil rigs or wind turbines. So I guess these are all civilian transports too then?

This one is really a truck transporting a water pipe.

Also a truck transporting water pipes. This one is higher capacity, it can transport 10 water pipes!

Chinese people are thirsty. Must have more water pipes.

This one is for oversize pizza delivery.

Wrong! It's an airborne command center for Amazon's new automated package-drones delivery system.

Before you might have been excused for simply not knowing enough, and so made a bad call based on incomplete information, that happens to the best of us and is forgivable.

But the above is nothing more than childish petulance and wilful ignorance. There is no excuse for that.

I already told you where to look, 30 seconds of googling would have got you where you needed to be.

If I were you, I would Spend more time learning and less time making a fool of yourself. But its your life, do as you will.

Oh please, it takes a special level of brain dead stupidity to transport ICBMs through cities using good old regular city streets without any military & police escort. Nobody is that incompetent.

The police regularly shut down streets to vehicular & pedestrian traffic for events such as civilian helicopters lifting materials, medical helicopters landings, shooting scenes for a movie, heck in China the the police in pretty much every Chinese city shutdown the streets around test sites every single year just for the college entrance exam. Do you honestly think they'd allow actual ICBMs to drive around cities without any escort & allowing civilian in such close proximity to them?

    Are these ICBMs as well?

Ultra, although you are relatively new, you have been here long enough to know better.

This is the PRC/PLA Victory Parade Thread, not a "tell all," about what you think is wrong with China.

That's nation bashing and it is not allowed and constitutes flame bait.. In addition it is completely off topic.

You are receiving a warning over this. Any more will result in a suspension. After that, upon returning, if you do more, you will be banned.

DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS MODERATION.
