Power Armor?

Like I said its possible, but that only scratches the surface at best. Still though if there is a video we need to see it.
Mounting some heavier weapons seems very realistic others well. Still a long way from practical walking tanks for more than a simple publicity stunt.

Well powered exoskeletons don't have to be iron man style full body suits with mounted heavy weapons to be considered useful.

Giving soldiers refined HULC style exoskeletons can be a very useful capability in itself.

attached are the video stills.

not included in by78's post, are a variety of simple computer generated clips from the same video depicting PLA soldiers equipped with the exoskeleton suit armed with weapons and heavy loads doing patrol in mountainous terrain and kneeling in firing position.

Apparently, it has a range of 20km on level ground, with walking speed up to 4.5km/hour. Its arms can handle objects weighing up to 50kg, and it can carry a 35kg rucksack on its back.

weapon in the stills looks to be a M4 with a M203. not exactly a super weapon but then again given that these follow the same plan as Hulc being only a lower body exoskeleton.

are you sure?
over on cdf it was translated as average 4.5km/hr speed.
And I'm pretty sure one doesn't need a powered exoskeleton to carry a 35kg rucksack...

I remember the video from zhuhai showing an earlier prototype where the demonstrator said they could carry at least 100kg.

I liked to see images where soldiers can climb and rappel off from a helicopter from one of those exoskeleton. I'm not sure about airborne static line parachuting yet, considering the weight of it and all.

You are correct. The slide does in fact say the walking speed is an average, not top speed. My Chinese is rather rudimentary.

However, I'm pretty sure about the weight-carrying capacity. If you notice, the photos show two distinct models of exoskeletons, one of which has a further, more robust-appearing variant. My guess is that the 50kg handling capacity only applies to one of the models/variants; there could well be a model/variant with a much higher carrying/handling capacity.

A further thought: it'd be really cool if the exoskeleton has a further option of being directly plugged in to an external power source, such as a diesel generator on the back of a SPH, which can significantly increase the lifting capacity for performing ammo resupply whilst also recharging the battery.

line jumping would be more a issue of the Chute then the exosuit. a Well made Exosuit might even be beneficial if it has shock absorbers. besides Airborne tend to carry heavier loads then regular infantry. The frame could even act as a Parachute Harness.
