Building two ships of a new class at once? They seem pretty confident

That's actually pretty normal for contemporary PLAN.
They started work on multiple 052Ds, 055s, 056s before the first was in the water, in each of their cases.

That said I would hesitate in identifying clearly if those modules are for two separate 054B hulls at this stage.
All we can say at this stage is that the rumours and the timing strongly would suggest that there's at least one 054B among those separate modules.

One good thing about the HD shipyard location is we might be able to get some earlier confirmation as to the 054Bs VLS choice compared to the 054B being built at HP, given HD is more important exposed.

I've just gone to Google Earth to have a measurement, and this is what I get. 16m wide.

Tom Shugart's measurement of 18m is flawed because the satellite photo was taken at an angle, he measured it assuming the photo was taken at perfect vertical angle from the space. Instead of edge to edge measurement, he included part of the hull side visible due to angle of the satellite camera.

If you look at the other features in the image, though, you can see that the angle doesn’t go in that direction. That is, at least with respect to that width dimension, you’re basically looking straight down, so the 18m measurement looks pretty accurate to me.

Yes, you are right. I got confused by the angle of the shadow, and wrong by about 90 degree on the angle of the camera. The width of the module is about 17.5m.

My apology to Tom Shugart.
